Summary:

Selects appropriate methods, techniques, and evaluation criteria to resolve complex engineering issues.

Serves as a recognized authority within the field and is consulted extensively by associates.

Anticipates and resolves complex issues by developing standards and guides for diverse engineering activities.

Balances technical product, cost, and schedule in problem-solving approaches.

Works without appreciable direction and exercises latitude in determining technical objectives.

Makes authoritative technical decisions and recommendations that impact extensive engineering activities.

Guides successful completion of major engineering programs.

Conceives research in areas of considerable scope and complexity supporting development and production.

Maintains current knowledge of developments in specialty or related aircraft fields to recommend innovations.

Applies advanced engineering principles to improve product quality and effectiveness.

Requirements:

Must be a U.S. Person (as defined by ITAR).

Bachelor's Degree in engineering or technical related curriculum applicable to the job, or equivalent combination of education and experience.

10 years in specific technical discipline or 15 years broad engineering experience in several technical disciplines with Bachelor's degree.

Experience credit for related advanced degrees limited to 2 years for Masters and 4 years for PhD in fields applicable to this job.

Advanced degree in engineering or related curriculum preferred.

Experience selecting methods, techniques, and evaluation criteria to resolve complex engineering issues.

Experience developing standards and guides for diverse engineering activities.

Experience balancing technical product, cost, and schedule in problem solving.

Experience working without appreciable direction and making authoritative technical decisions.

Experience conceiving research in areas of considerable scope and complexity.
