Position: Material Handler

Location: San Diego, CA 92127

Schedule: Monday-Friday | 9/80 Work Schedule

Pay Rate: $35.61 per hour

Job Type: Full-Time | 6-Month Contract

Make an Impact Every Day

As a Material Handler, you'll help keep critical operations running smoothly by ensuring materials, equipment, and inventory move efficiently throughout the facility. Your attention to detail and commitment to safety will directly support production and operational success within the aviation industry.

What You'll Do

• Load, unload, and transport materials throughout the facility and worksite
  
• Support shipping and receiving activities, including documentation and inventory tracking
  
• Open containers using hand tools and accurately count, weigh, and record materials
  
• Load and unload materials from pallets, racks, conveyors, machinery, and delivery trucks
  
• Move materials using equipment such as forklifts, hand trucks, electric dollies, elevators, and other material-handling devices
  
• Stack, organize, and assemble materials for storage or distribution
  
• Assist machine operators by moving and lifting heavy objects manually or with power hoists
  
• Ensure materials are handled safely and efficiently while maintaining workplace organization and compliance standards
  

Required Qualifications

• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds unassisted
  
• Valid California Driver's License
  
• Ability to sit, stand, bend, reach, and perform physical tasks for extended periods
  
• Ability to safely operate a delivery vehicle
  
• Previous warehouse or material handling experience
  
• Must be eligible to obtain a Security Clearance. 
  

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with SAP and/or MRP systems
  
• Forklift operating experience
  
• Shipping and packaging experience to Military Specifications (Mil-Spec)
  
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  
• Experience working in manufacturing, aerospace, defense, or aviation environments
