Product Repair/Mod Technician C

Description:
Chipton-Ross is seeking 16 Product Repair/Mod Technicians (Level C) for a contract opportunity at Joint Base Charleston, SC.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS (REQUIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE):
• 3+ years' experience having the ability to read, understand, and interpret basic engineering drawings and technical specifications
• 3+ years' experience in detecting hazardous working conditions and safety problems via a regular check of equipment and work area
• 3+ years' experience in repair, maintenance, and retrofit processes and practices
• Must be able to pass Ground Operations Personnel (GOP) and air respirator medical physicals and maintain qualification/certification

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Assemble, disassemble and/or modify systems by changing, removing, replacing or upgrading aerospace vehicle components to correct failures or implement changes
• Oversees assembly, disassembly or overhaul
• Configures aerospace vehicles and bench test equipment
• Troubleshoots complex pneumatic, hydraulic and electrical systems to isolate mechanical or electrical faults and repair faulty components
• Performs validation/verification testing of systems and components
• Documents procedures and established processes to ensure contractual and regulatory compliance (e.g., repairs, test results, applicable modifications and inspection results)
• Inspects components and verifies repairs for flight worthiness requirements.
• Oversees training
• Works under general direction

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
• Must be able enter in confined spaces with an entry opening of 10"X18”

REQUIRED EDUCATION:
Education/experience typically acquired through basic education (e.g. High School diploma/GED) and typically 4 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience (e.g. vocational school/Associate+2 years' related work, Bachelor, etc.).

WORK HOURS:
FULL TIME/VARIABLE SHIFT; based on business needs.

ADDITIONAL:

*This role is supporting a contract that is governed by SCA. Occupation Code and Title: Aircraft Mechanic II
Minimum Hourly Rate = $41.29/hour
Additional Hourly Benefit Allowance= $5.92 Health & Welfare Benefit (paid for all straight time hours worked up to 40 hours per week)

VACATION: 2 weeks paid vacation after 1 year of service; 3 weeks paid vacation after 5 years of service; 4 weeks paid vacation after 15 years of service.

HOLIDAY PAY: 11 paid holidays per year. New Year's Day, Martin Luther King Jr.'s Birthday, Washington's Birthday, Memorial Day, Juneteenth National Independence Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Columbus Day, Veterans' Day, Thanksgiving Day, and Christmas Day.

ACCRUAL OF SICK LEAVE HOURS: 1 hour of paid sick leave for every 30 hours worked, up to 56 hours of paid sick leave each year.
