About the Role 

As an IT Applications Designer, you will play a key role in designing, developing, testing, and implementing sophisticated enterprise applications, with a strong focus on Salesforce development, Revenue Cloud, and CPQ solutions. You will transform business requirements into scalable, high-performing applications that connect sales, finance, operations, and enterprise systems. 

Working alongside cross-functional stakeholders and technical teams, you will help optimize pricing, product configuration, guided selling, quoting, and revenue processes while ensuring application quality, security, performance, and maintainability. 

Your expertise will help shape technology solutions that support business growth and operational excellence within the aerospace industry. 

What You'll Do 

In this role, you will take ownership of complex application design and development while collaborating with business leaders and technical teams to deliver meaningful results. 

• Design and develop Salesforce solutions: Build and enhance enterprise applications using Apex, Lightning Web Components (LWC), Salesforce Flows, and APIs. 

• Drive Revenue Cloud and CPQ implementations: Develop solutions supporting complex pricing models, product configuration, guided selling, approval workflows, quote templates, and end-to-end quote-to-cash processes. 

• Integrate enterprise systems: Connect Salesforce with ERP, billing, finance, and other business applications to enable seamless data exchange and streamlined operations. 

• Translate business needs into technology: Partner with Sales, Finance, Operations, and IT stakeholders to understand requirements and deliver scalable, maintainable solutions. 

• Optimize application performance: Design complex software components, algorithms, and data structures while ensuring performance, reliability, quality, and scalability. 

• Champion DevOps best practices: Support source control, CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, deployment automation, and disciplined release management. 

• Maintain application excellence: Troubleshoot complex defects, conduct technical evaluations, participate in design reviews, and implement preventive maintenance and disaster recovery strategies. 

• Promote innovation and continuous improvement: Evaluate development tools, methodologies, and standards to improve efficiency, security, and solution delivery. 

• Provide technical leadership: Mentor junior team members, guide application development efforts, and collaborate on project planning, technical standards, and implementation strategies. 

• Explore emerging technologies: Identify opportunities to leverage AI and integration technologies to improve workflows and business outcomes. 

Required Qualifications 

We're looking for a seasoned IT professional with strong Salesforce development expertise, sound technical judgment, and the ability to deliver results in a complex enterprise environment. 

To be successful in this role, you will bring: 

• A bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field—or an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to perform the essential job functions. 

• Eight (8) years of experience as an IT professional, with broad experience across multiple IT disciplines. 

• Demonstrated Salesforce development experience using Apex, Lightning Web Components (LWC), Flows, and APIs. 

• Hands-on experience implementing Salesforce Revenue Cloud and/or Salesforce CPQ. 

• Strong Apex and LWC development skills, including the ability to design robust, maintainable application components. 

• Solid knowledge of Quote-to-Cash business processes and experience with complex pricing, product configuration, guided selling, approval processes, and quote templates. 

• Experience integrating Salesforce with ERP, billing, finance, or other enterprise applications. 

• Knowledge of Salesforce DevOps practices, including source control, CI/CD, testing, and deployment automation. 

• The ability to translate complex business requirements into scalable, secure, high-quality technical solutions. 

• A strong understanding of application architecture, software development life cycles, development standards, system performance, and application security. 

• Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively across Sales, Finance, Operations, and IT. 

• A strong sense of urgency, proactive problem-solving skills, and the ability to manage competing priorities in a dynamic environment. 

Preferred Qualifications 

Bring additional value to the team with experience in any of the following areas: 

• AI tools and technologies, including opportunities to apply AI to business processes or application development. 

• MuleSoft integration and enterprise application connectivity. 

• Salesforce Platform Developer I or II certification. 

• Salesforce CPQ Specialist certification. 

• Salesforce Billing, Revenue Cloud Advanced, or subscription-based business models. 

• Agile development methodologies and collaborative software delivery environments. 

• ITIL principles, application lifecycle management, and enterprise software development standards. 

• Technical mentoring, development team leadership, and the evaluation of software development tools and practices. 

A master's degree may substitute for one year of experience, and a Ph.D. may substitute for two years of experience.
