Structures MRB Engineer
Location: Savannah, GA | Pay rate: $80.52/hour | Schedule: 6am to 4:30pm
Are you an experienced Structures MRB Engineer ready to tackle complex engineering challenges and make a direct impact on aircraft safety, quality, and production? PDS Tech Commercial is partnering with a leader in the aerospace industry to find a highly skilled engineering professional who brings deep expertise in structural repairs, nonconformance dispositions, and aircraft structural integrity.
In this role, you’ll apply advanced engineering judgment to resolve complex structural issues, develop innovative repair solutions, and help keep critical aerospace programs moving forward in a fast-paced, production-driven environment.
Lead complex engineering projects involving aircraft structural nonconformances and repair dispositions.
Develop and justify engineering solutions for composite and metallic structures, including pressurized and non-pressurized aircraft.
Evaluate structural integrity across major aircraft components, including wings, fuselage, and empennage.
Analyze and design repairs based on equivalent strength and stiffness of surrounding structures while meeting production schedules.
Make authoritative technical decisions that support safety, quality, cost, and schedule requirements.
Apply advanced engineering principles to resolve critical problems where established precedents may not exist.
Develop engineering standards, procedures, and improved methods to optimize structural repair processes.
Collaborate with cross-functional engineering and production teams to deliver effective, timely solutions.
Bachelor’s degree in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
Minimum of 10 years of dedicated Structures MRB Engineering experience with a recognized aerospace manufacturer.
Demonstrated experience creating and justifying engineering dispositions for composite and metallic aircraft structures.
Experience with pressurized and non-pressurized structures across wings, fuselage, and empennage.
Strong understanding of structural strength, stiffness, repair design, and nonconformance resolution.
Experience working in a production-driven, schedule-sensitive aerospace environment.
Strong technical judgment, problem-solving, written and verbal communication, and interpersonal skills.
Computer proficiency with CATIA V5, Solumina, SmarTeam, Microsoft Word, Excel, or comparable tools.
Advanced degree in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
Extensive experience leading complex engineering projects and making independent technical decisions.
Demonstrated ability to develop innovative repair solutions and improve engineering standards and processes.
