We are seeking an experienced Tool Designer with strong proficiency in CATIA V5 to support aircraft manufacturing and assembly operations. The candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and detailing aircraft tooling, fixtures, jigs, assembly aids, and manufacturing equipment to support aircraft structural assembly, component fabrication, and production processes.

The ideal candidate should have a strong understanding of aerospace manufacturing methods, aircraft structural components, GD&T, engineering drawings, and tooling design principles, with the ability to deliver accurate, manufacturable, and cost-effective tooling solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

Design and develop aircraft manufacturing tools, jigs, fixtures, assembly tooling, drill templates, locating fixtures, and inspection tooling using CATIA V5.
Create 3D models, assemblies, detailed engineering drawings, and manufacturing documentation.
Design tooling for aircraft structures, including fuselage, wing, empennage, and other structural assemblies.
Develop assembly fixtures, holding devices, drilling and riveting fixtures, and tooling for aircraft component installation.
Interpret aircraft engineering drawings, product definition data, specifications, and manufacturing requirements.
Apply GD&T principles, datum schemes, tolerance stack-up analysis, and geometric alignment requirements to tooling designs.
Perform tooling layout, component positioning, locating-pin design, clamping design, and accessibility assessments.
Ensure tooling designs meet aircraft manufacturing, assembly, quality, safety, and ergonomic requirements.
Collaborate with manufacturing engineering, production, quality, stress engineering, and shop-floor teams to resolve tooling-related issues.

Review tooling designs for manufacturability, maintainability, repeatability, and ease of operation.
Support tooling build, assembly, installation, tryout, validation, and production implementation.
Incorporate engineering changes and update models, drawings, and bills of materials as required.
Participate in design reviews, technical discussions, and continuous improvement activities.
Ensure compliance with applicable aerospace customer standards, internal procedures, and configuration management requirements.
