Position Details



Job Title: Manufacturing Technician 

Location: Hanover, MD 21076

Job Type: Full-Time | 12-Month Contract

Schedule: Monday-Friday | 9X80 Schedule

Pay Rate: $31.88 per hour



Make an Impact



As a Manufacturing Technician, you will play a key role in the fabrication and assembly of aerospace honeycomb panels and flight hardware. Your expertise will directly support the production of high-quality aerospace components that meet rigorous engineering and safety standards. Working alongside Manufacturing Engineering, Quality, and Program teams, you'll help drive operational excellence while contributing to cutting-edge aerospace programs.



What You'll Do




  • Perform aerospace panel consolidation operations, including:

    • Honeycomb core preparation
    • Film adhesive compaction
    • Foaming and expanding adhesive application
    • Adhesive mixing and bonding
    • Honeycomb core cell adhesive filling
    • Vacuum bagging and compaction


  • Fabricate flight hardware using engineering drawings, work instructions, and process specifications.
  • Ensure dimensional accuracy and exceptional workmanship throughout the manufacturing process.
  • Support inspection activities, troubleshooting efforts, and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Perform manufacturing operations involving parts, components, subassemblies, and final assemblies.
  • Collaborate with engineers on equipment setup, calibration, process development, and experimental projects.
  • Conduct rework and quality testing to ensure production standards are met.
  • Utilize manufacturing systems and data collection tools to monitor production performance and make process adjustments.
  • Operate hand tools, power tools, and machinery used in processing metals, composites, and wood.
  • Work closely with lead technicians and supervisors to achieve production goals and delivery schedules.
  • Maintain a strong commitment to safety, quality, and compliance standards.


Required Qualifications




  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Minimum of 2 years of honeycomb panel fabrication or aerospace mechanical assembly experience.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude with the ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
  • Experience using hand tools and working with measurements, math, and geometry calculations.
  • Ability to read, understand, and follow manufacturing instructions and technical procedures.
  • Experience operating manufacturing equipment and machinery.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
  • Comfortable working on cure cart platens and elevated platforms for brief periods.
  • Strong commitment to workplace safety.
  • Flexibility to work adjusted schedules when needed to meet program deadlines.


Preferred Qualifications




  • Aerospace honeycomb panel fabrication experience.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel.
  • Experience preparing and mixing epoxy and silicone adhesives.
  • Experience installing mechanical and thermal components in honeycomb panels.
  • Experience working with thin metal facesheet materials.
  • Knowledge of OSHA requirements and industry standards related to hazardous material handling.

Pay Details: $31.88 per hour
