JOB TITLE: Design Engineer - HYBRID
LOCATION: (HYBRID) Orlando, FL
PAY RATE: $53.65/hour

We are a national aerospace and defense staffing agency seeking highly qualified candidates for a position with a top-tier client.

Job Type: Contract (6 months with potential for extension)

Clearance: Ability to obtain Security Clearance.

Qualifying Questions:

Are you a U.S. citizen and able to obtain and maintain a U.S. security clearance?

Do you meet the educational and experience requirements for this role?

Summary:

Designs major components, major portions of functional systems, or technically advanced prototypes.

Develops or improves products and facilitates manufacturing operations.

Develops basic data and makes preliminary layouts, sketches, and notes to present design proposals.

Investigates design factors including ease of manufacture, availability of materials and equipment, interchangeability, replaceability, strength-weight efficiency, contractual specification requirements, and cost.

Coordinates with other organizations affected by design development.

Makes layouts of assemblies and details parts of devices, mechanisms, structures, and products.

Checks completed layouts and drawings for clarity, completeness, conformity to standards, procedures, specifications, and accuracy of calculations and dimensioning.

Identifies design errors, omissions, and other deficiencies and recommends revisions or improvements in design layout.

Designs cables and circuit card assemblies (CCAs) as an electro-mechanical engineer.

Applies willingness to learn cable and circuit card design.

Requirements:

Ability to obtain Security Clearance.

Must be a U.S. Person (as defined by ITAR).

Bachelor of Science degree required.

2 years of experience with CREO.

2 years of experience in mechanical or electrical design.

Willingness to learn how to design cables and circuit card assemblies (CCAs).

Willingness to become an electro-mechanical engineer.

Junior level mechanical design engineer.

This is not a CAD or drafting role.
