PDS Tech Commercial is partnering with a leader in the aviation and aerospace industry to hire an experienced Production Test Technician in Ronkonkoma, New York.

In this hands-on role, you’ll support test operations and work alongside a research and development team, helping ensure sophisticated production assemblies and systems perform to demanding standards. • Pay Rate: $46.73 per hour
  
• Schedule: Monday through Friday, 9/80A schedule, 7:30 AM to 5:00 PM
  
• Work Location: On-site
  
• Opportunity: This position is intended to be contract-to-hire; however, conversion to direct employment is not guaranteed
  

What You’ll Do

As a Production Test Technician, you’ll play an important role in testing, evaluating, troubleshooting, and maintaining production assemblies and units. Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:

• Set up test apparatus and conduct tests on production assemblies and units according to established methods, procedures, standards, and sequences.
  
• Lay out and assemble units for test equipment based on technical designs and specifications.
  
• Modify equipment by adding, removing, or altering components according to predetermined diagrams and sketches.
  
• Troubleshoot and correct equipment malfunctions by making adjustments or replacing parts and components as directed.
  
• Use hand tools, small power tools, measuring equipment, and a variety of testing devices.
  
• Monitor and verify quality according to statistical process controls or other established quality procedures.
  
• Work safely on ladders and at heights when required.
  
• Perform work on and around high-pressure and combustible gases.
  
• Support outdoor work activities as needed throughout different seasons.
  
• Collaborate with team members and adapt to changing priorities and daily responsibilities.
  

Required Qualifications

We’re looking for candidates who bring:

• Ability to confidently and safely work with hand tools.
  
• Ability to work on ladders and at heights as required.
  
• Ability to work on and around high-pressure and combustible gases.
  
• Ability to perform outdoor work as needed in varying seasonal conditions.
  
• Strong teamwork skills and the flexibility to adapt to changing day-to-day responsibilities.
  
• Must be eligible to obtain a Security Clearance.
  

Preferred Qualifications

You’ll stand out even more if you have:

• Knowledge of plumbing and fabrication techniques, including tube bending, flaring, and pipe fabrication.
  
• Previous experience operating forklifts.
  
• Hands-on experience in a production, testing, fabrication, manufacturing, aerospace, or similarly technical environment.
