Chipton-Ross is seeking a APG Mechanic for a contract opportunity in Greenville, SC.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS (REQUIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE): • Comprehend documents such as safety rules, operating maintenance instructions and procedure manuals. • Perform repetitive movements and work overhead. • Work in a safe and efficient manner while maintaining a clean, FOD-free work area. • Properly use, handle and dispose of hazardous materials, and toxic or caustic chemicals per Government regulations and company procedures Mission essential functions and other duties may be assigned as required. *May be required to obtain a clearance as necessary if work area performs classified work. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus. While performing the essential functions of this job, the employee will be required to wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) as needed to perform job tasks. The employee is regularly exposed to vibration.
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES: You will be the Production Hangar APG, F-16 Technician for the clients Greenville Production Team. As the Production Hangar APG, F-16 Technician you will be responsible for Inspecting, troubleshooting, repairing, overhauling and modifying aircraft systems and powerplants in accordance with established written procedures, specifications, and standards.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS (DESIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE): FLIGHTLINE EXPERIENCE A MAJOR PLUS.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: • Frequently stand, walk, stoop, kneel, squat, crawl, twist, and work on or in the aircraft. • Frequently lift and/or push or pull up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or push or pull up to 50 pounds. • Frequently stand, walk, stoop, kneel, squat, crawl, twist, and work on or in the aircraft. • Frequently lift and/or push or pull up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or push or pull up to 50 pounds.
REQUIRED EDUCATION: Accredited Bachelor's Degree, 0-2 years of experience.
