Summary:
Analyzes and optimizes CCA and module manufacturing processes to improve efficiency, reduce costs, and enhance product quality.
Identifies and implements process improvements in the MK48 assembly area using Lean, Six Sigma, and other continuous improvement methodologies.
Creates and maintains comprehensive process documentation including work instructions, standard operating procedures, and design specifications for fixtures and stencils.
Collaborates with cross-functional teams including production, quality, and maintenance to implement process changes.
Develops and maintains detailed process documentation including work instructions, standard operating procedures, and training materials.
Conducts experiments and trials to validate process improvements and ensure compatibility with existing equipment and systems.
Provides technical support and guidance to production staff including training and mentoring as needed.
Develops and tracks key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure process effectiveness and identify areas for further improvement.
Applies knowledge of mechanical assembly manufacturing processes including equipment, materials, and quality control methods.
Uses data analytics and statistical process control for process optimization.
Requirements:
Ability to obtain Security Clearance.
Must be a U.S. Person (as defined by ITAR).
Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent work experience.
Strong knowledge of mechanical assembly manufacturing processes including equipment, materials, and quality control methods.
Experience with Lean, Six Sigma, and other continuous improvement methodologies.
Ability to walk up and down stairs and stand for long periods to access and troubleshoot equipment on the production floor.
Physical ability to lift, bend, and stretch to perform equipment maintenance and repairs.
Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment with frequent interruptions and changing priorities.
Preferred: Electronics or manufacturing assembly experience.
Preferred: Certification in Lean, Six Sigma, or a related field.
Preferred: Experience with MK48 program, data analytics, statistical process control, IPC-A-610, J-STD-001, MIL-STD-130, automation, robotics, AI, and CAD design tools such as Creo or SolidWorks.
