Electrical Systems Integration Engineer – Wichita

Description:
Seeking an experienced Electrical Systems Integration Engineer for aircraft engineering opportunities in Wichita, Kansas. Candidates should indicate their interest in contract, contract-to-hire, or direct-placement work. Fully remote candidates are not being considered for this opening.
Responsibilities:
- Support the development, certification, improvement, and maintenance of aircraft electrical power generation, distribution, and lighting systems.
- Contribute to electrical-system improvements for current and future aircraft programs.
- Prepare and review engineering documentation for electrical-system changes on production and in-service aircraft.
- Develop and test approaches to improve weight, performance, cost, emissions, and customer satisfaction.
- Participate in trade studies for new aircraft technologies.
- Document lessons learned and engineering best practices.
- Coordinate technical interfaces with engineering teams, partners, and suppliers.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in electrical engineering.
- At least five years of electrical-system integration or related experience.
- Knowledge of relevant standards, including RTCA/DO-160, SAE, and MIL-STD.
- Familiarity with electrical-system airworthiness regulations and guidance from TCCA, FAA, and EASA.
- Strong collaboration and technical communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects.
- French-language skills are an asset.
