PDS Tech Commercial is partnering with a leader in the aviation industry to hire a talented Manufacturing Engineer in Clearwater, Florida.
This is an exciting opportunity to take an active role in improving Circuit Card Assembly (CCA) and module manufacturing processes, with a particular focus on thru-hole technology. You'll analyze production processes, identify opportunities for improvement, conduct trials, and partner with experienced engineers and cross-functional teams to increase efficiency, reduce costs, and strengthen product quality and reliability.

What You'll Be Doing
As a Manufacturing Engineer, you'll help optimize manufacturing operations while gaining valuable experience across multiple CCA programs. Your responsibilities will include:
Analyze and optimize CCA and module manufacturing processes to improve efficiency, reduce costs, and enhance product quality.
Support manufacturing processes involving thru-hole technology and Circuit Card Assemblies.
Identify and implement process improvements across multiple CCA programs using Lean, Six Sigma, and other continuous improvement methodologies.
Conduct experiments and manufacturing trials to validate proposed process improvements.
Evaluate process changes for compatibility with existing equipment, systems, and production requirements.
Learn to develop and maintain comprehensive manufacturing documentation, including work instructions, standard operating procedures, and process documentation.
Support the development of design specifications for manufacturing fixtures and stencils.
Partner closely with production, quality, maintenance, and engineering teams to ensure smooth implementation of process changes.
Work alongside senior engineers to expand your knowledge of manufacturing processes, equipment, and best practices.
Provide hands-on technical support and guidance to production personnel.
Assist with training and mentoring manufacturing team members as needed.
Help troubleshoot manufacturing challenges and support solutions that improve overall process performance and reliability.
Required Qualifications
We're looking for candidates who bring a strong engineering foundation and an interest in hands-on manufacturing process improvement.
Engineering or technical background applicable to manufacturing operations.
Ability to analyze manufacturing processes and identify opportunities for improvement.
Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams, including production, quality, maintenance, and engineering.
Ability to develop, follow, and maintain detailed technical and manufacturing documentation.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to conduct controlled experiments and trials and document results accurately.
Comfortable working in a hands-on manufacturing environment and providing technical support to production teams.
Preferred Qualifications
You'll stand out if you have experience or knowledge in:
Circuit Card Assembly (CCA) manufacturing.
Thru-hole technology and electronic assembly processes.
Manufacturing or process engineering within aviation, aerospace, defense, electronics, or another highly regulated industry.
Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or other continuous improvement methodologies.
Process development, implementation, and optimization.
Manufacturing fixtures, stencils, tooling, or related design specifications.
Developing work instructions and standard operating procedures.
Supporting production equipment maintenance, troubleshooting, or repair.
Conducting process validation experiments and manufacturing trials.

Pay Details: $40.00 to $56.00 per hour
