Chipton-Ross is seeking a GNC Engineer 3 for a contract opportunity in Chandler, AZ.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS (REQUIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE): o Bachelor's Degree and 2-5 years of relevant experience. o Experience with Kalman Filtering. o Ansible, Java, python, system monitoring, computer networking, access control techniques. o Experience with signal processing for guided missiles and/or interceptors. o Sensor Signal Processing, Image Processing and Statistical Analysis. o Proficiency in creating and maintaining algorithms and analysis tools in C++, MATLAB and Python. o Strong foundation in probability theory / statistics. o Experience with Electro-Optical imaging systems. o Travel 10% of the time.
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES: Looking for an Engineer Guidance Navigation Control 3 to support our GNC Department. As a member of the SW/GNC Department you'll get to work on the Glide Phase Interceptor Program.
Responsibilities: Designs, develops, implements, verifies and tests algorithms and software and simulation tools to perform guidance, navigation and control of aircraft, spacecraft, submersibles, surface ships, missiles, launch vehicles and upper stages during powered and coast phases of launch, flight, earth orbit, interplanetary cruise and orbital insertion, as well as during staging events. Navigation functions include the statistical processing of measured data points and their substitution into algorithms simulating physical reality. Guidance functions include the formulation of specific equations to achieve a desired position, orientation or orbit in space. Control design and analyses processes consist of the development of the control laws and hardware and software requirements for aircraft, launch vehicles and/or spacecraft.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS (DESIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE): o Advanced degree in electrical engineering, aerospace engineering, physics, or applied math. o Experience with onboard/offboard sensor fusion. o Experience with analyzing large Monte Carlo data sets and/or experience with designing and analyzing simulation experiments.
REQUIRED EDUCATION: Bachelor's Degree is required. School must be accredited.
HOURS: 9/80 workweek. On-site in Chandler, AZ.
