PDS Tech Commercial is partnering with a global leader in the aviation industry to hire a Tool Coordinator in Portland, Oregon.

In this role, you'll play an important part in supporting fabrication and manufacturing operations by ensuring teams have the materials, tools, and shop supplies they need to get the job done. From coordinating commodity purchases and monitoring inventory to researching solutions and supporting urgent manufacturing needs, your work will help keep production running efficiently.

What You'll Do

As a Tool Coordinator, you'll work closely with manufacturing teams to support day-to-day operational needs. Responsibilities include:

• Fulfill manufacturing requirements for non-production materials, tools, and shop supplies.
  
• Coordinate the acquisition of authorized commodities using established procurement systems and processes.
  
• Support requirements for portable tools, including capital and expense items, perishable tools, and shop supplies.
  
• Review inventory usage and stock levels to promote cost-effective use of resources.
  
• Monitor delivery and receiving statuses to help ensure fabrication requirements are met.
  
• Analyze products using industry specifications, procedures, engineering product definitions, and manufacturing processes to verify compliance.
  
• Identify and recommend solutions that address manufacturing and process requirements.
  
• Investigate changes in manufacturing needs and respond to emerging requests.
  
• Assist with research and analysis of new technology.
  
• Support evaluation of outside supplier performance and compliance with procedures and contract specifications.
  
• Conduct inventories and coordinate the redistribution of materials.
  
• Utilize inventory management systems and processes to support manufacturing operations.
  
• Perform responsibilities under general supervision while maintaining regular and predictable attendance.
  

What You'll Bring

Required Qualifications

• 1+ years of experience with Material Management and Inventory Control.
  
• 1+ years of experience working with Inventory Control Systems.
  
• 1+ years of experience using Microsoft Office, including Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Excel.
  
• Ability to maintain regular and predictable attendance.
  
• Ability to work effectively in a manufacturing environment with changing priorities.
  

Preferred Qualifications

• 1+ years of experience with Ariba and CribMaster.
  
• 1+ years of experience implementing continuous improvement initiatives.
  
• 1+ years of experience or knowledge of responsibilities performed across various Operations departments or disciplines.
  
• 1+ years of data analytics experience, including the use of Excel formulas and functions.
  
• Associate degree, bachelor's degree, or other advanced education is preferred but not required.
  
• Related military experience may also be considered.
  

Typical Experience: 3+ years of related work experience or relevant military experience is preferred. Candidates with an associate degree in a related discipline and 1+ years of relevant experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience, may also be considered.

Physical & Scheduling Requirements

Candidates must be able to:

• Lift, push, and pull up to 35 pounds regularly.
  
• Frequently walk, stand, climb and descend stairs, bend, and lift throughout the shift.
  
• Package materials and unload materials from containers.
  
• Be willing and able to work various shifts or alternate schedules when mission requirements change.
  
• Work weekends, holidays, and scheduled or unscheduled overtime when business and workload requirements call for it.
