Schedule: Monday-Friday | 9/80 Schedule | 6:00 AM-3:30 PM or 7:00 AM-4:30 PM
Travel: Approximately 5%, including occasional overnight travel

PDS Tech Commercial is partnering with a leader in the aviation industry to find an experienced Quality Inspector ready to put their attention to detail and technical expertise to work.

From interpreting blueprints and electrical schematics to performing detailed inspections with precision measuring equipment, your work will play an important role in maintaining product quality, reliability, and operational excellence.

What You'll Do

As a Quality Inspector, your day-to-day responsibilities will include:

• Inspect a variety of units using precision measuring and inspection instruments, including micrometers, gauges, and calipers.

• Perform receiving, in-process, and final inspections of manufactured, assembled, and tested hardware and components.

• Read, interpret, and apply quality policies, procedures, blueprints, electrical schematics, and related technical documentation.

• Perform visual and physical inspections of units and subassemblies.

• Utilize computer systems and applications to complete inspection activities, including Via Search, SAP, Engineering Information System, and labor-charging systems.

• Review work-order documentation for accuracy and completeness.

• Conduct unit shakedowns, when required, to identify foreign objects, rattles, or loose internal hardware.

• Perform administrative and file-management tasks associated with inspection records.

• Conduct Preliminary Material Reviews (PMR) as needed.

• Assist with third-party source inspections.

• Support additional quality and inspection activities as assigned.

• Travel to customer sites on occasion, approximately 5%, which may include overnight travel for up to one week at a time.

• Safely lift and carry items weighing up to 25 pounds.

Required Qualifications

We're looking for candidates who bring a strong foundation in quality inspection and the ability to work accurately in a technical environment.

• High school diploma or equivalent, such as a GED, or vocational/technical education in a related discipline.

• Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience.

• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and electrical schematics.

• Experience using measuring and inspection equipment with proper inspection techniques.

• Ability to lift and carry up to 25 pounds.

• Willingness and ability to accommodate occasional travel.

• Ability to successfully complete a post-offer vision examination assessing visual acuity and color vision, with annual examinations thereafter. Reasonable accommodations will be considered for qualified individuals with disabilities unless doing so would impose an undue hardship.

• Must be eligible to obtain a Security Clearance.

Preferred Qualifications

Candidates may stand out with:

• Hands-on experience in quality inspection within aviation, aerospace, manufacturing, defense, or another highly regulated environment.

• Experience performing receiving, in-process, and final inspections.

• Familiarity with SAP or similar manufacturing and quality systems.

• Experience conducting Preliminary Material Reviews or supporting source inspections.

• Strong documentation, organization, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.

• A quality-first mindset and exceptional attention to detail.
