Chipton-Ross is seeking a Tool Engineer 1 for a contract opportunity in El Segundo, CA.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS (REQUIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE): o Bachelor's degree with 1 year of technical and/or engineering experience or Master's degree with 0 years of experience. o Ability to read, interpret, and analyze technical models and drawings. o Basic knowledge of geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T/ASME Y 14.5). o Experience coordinating with cross functional teams across multiple organizations. o Experience with computer aided design tools and systems (e.g., computer aided design / computer aided manufacturing CAD/CAM). o Experience managing projects (Cost, schedule and technical performance). o This position requires an active in-scope U.S. Government Secret security clearance that has been granted / renewed within the past 5 years and ability to maintain. o Must have the ability to obtain and maintain Special Program Access within a reasonable period of time, as determined by the company to meet its business needs. o Ability to work any shift/schedule as determined by the business.
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES: Looking for an Engineer Tool 1 to support our Tooling department.
Responsibilities: o Designs industrial machinery and equipment, tools, dies, gauges, jigs, fixtures, and machine attachments required for production or experimental use, considering such factors as accessibility, economy, mobility, and performance requirements.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS (DESIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE): o Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering. o Current and active DoD Secret or Top-Secret clearance. o Understanding of Coordination of design and fabrication requirements for tools and fixtures with customers, both internal and external. o Composite experience and process knowledge. o Experience in Catia or NX7 or higher.
REQUIRED EDUCATION: Bachelor's Degree is required. School must be accredited.
WORK HOURS: 9/80 workweek. This position will serve on-site at El Segundo.
