PDS Tech Commercial is seeking an experienced Materials Analyst to support manufacturing operations through material planning, shortage resolution, inventory analysis, and supply risk management.

This is a highly execution-focused role for someone who understands manufacturing materials planning, SAP/MRP, and data analysis and can quickly identify shortages, determine root causes, and coordinate solutions across Procurement, Operations, Engineering, and Quality.

Key Responsibilities

• Analyze inventory positions, material shortages, open demand, and supply risks.

• Investigate shortages caused by supplier disruptions, inventory errors, or demand changes.

• Monitor shortage reports and past-due materials.

• Coordinate daily with Procurement, Operations, Engineering, Quality, and Planning.

• Escalate critical shortages with clear recommendations and recovery actions.

• Support material planning, production planning, inventory control, and intercompany purchasing.

• Develop reports, trackers, and dashboards that improve material visibility.

• Use data to prioritize requirements and support operational decisions.

• Ensure material availability supports production schedules and customer commitments.

Required Qualifications

• 3+ years of manufacturing planning experience

• Strong experience with MRP/ERP systems and SAP

• Manufacturing materials planning experience

• Strong proficiency with:

  • Microsoft Excel

  • Microsoft Access

  • Power BI

• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

• Excellent organizational and prioritization skills.

• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Preferred Qualifications

• Associate Degree or higher.

• Advanced Excel and data analysis experience.

• SQL knowledge.

• Experience developing Power BI dashboards or material shortage reports.

• Materials management and inventory control experience.

• Experience managing material availability for production or repair operations.
