Position Details

• Pay Rate: $41.00-$44.00 per hour
  
• Schedule: Must be available for 1st, 2nd, or 3rd shift operations
  
• Overtime: Must be available during periods of heavy overtime

As an Inspector - Fabrication/Assembly, you'll play an essential role in maintaining the quality, safety, and integrity of aerospace production. You'll inspect processes, parts, and assemblies against rigorous requirements while partnering with production teams to ensure quality standards are met throughout the manufacturing process.

This role is ideal for an experienced aerospace inspector who understands airframe assembly, knows how to interpret complex blueprints and specifications, and isn't afraid to speak up when something doesn't meet the standard.

What You'll Do

Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:

• Use and interpret engineering drawings, inspection manuals, specifications, and shop mathematics to complete inspection assignments.
  
• Utilize precision measuring instruments, specialized inspection machines, tools, and equipment to verify product conformity.
  
• Follow established inspection and shop procedures to accept or reject processes, parts, and assemblies.
  
• Ensure inspection tools and equipment are properly qualified before use.
  
• Prepare, document, and maintain accurate Quality records.
  
• Work within established Quality Management System policies and procedures.
  
• Apply working knowledge of company policies, procedures, specifications, and production processes.
  
• Identify nonconforming conditions and accurately prepare NCRs (Non-Conformance Reports/Tags).
  
• Maintain all required inspection certifications throughout the assignment.
  
• Communicate inspection findings clearly and professionally with production and quality teams.
  
• Use computer systems and applications, including Microsoft Office and SAP, to support inspection and documentation activities.
  
• Work across equivalent or lower-level Inspector job codes when business needs require.
  

Required Qualifications

To succeed in this position, you must have:

• 5+ years of aerospace airframe assembly inspection experience
  
• Demonstrated blueprint and engineering drawing reading experience
  
• Experience with Microsoft Office and SAP
  
• Experience writing NCRs (Tags)
  
• Working knowledge of aerospace production and quality processes
  
• Experience working with Quality Management System policies and procedures
  
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
  
• Good computer skills
  
• Ability to report to work promptly and consistently
  
• Ability to obtain all required training certifications and maintain them throughout the assignment
  
• Availability to work any shift, including 1st, 2nd, and 3rd shifts
  
• Availability to work periods of heavy overtime
  

Preferred Qualifications

You'll stand out if you have:

• Strong SAP experience
  
• Previous AeroSystems experience
  
•  737 airframe and/or fuselage experience
  

Inspection Training & Testing Requirements

Quality is critical in aerospace manufacturing, and inspectors are expected to demonstrate their knowledge through required training and testing.

All inspectors, including contractors, must obtain their inspection stamp within the required timeframe following training. Details and timelines will be reviewed during initial training.

Required QA Testing

Candidates must successfully complete applicable written and/or practical testing in:

• Assembly Sealing
  
• Post Assembly Sealing
  
• Electrical Bond and Ground, All Meters
  
• Electrical Bond Final Inspection
  
• Precision Measuring Tools
  
• Skin Quality Inspection
  

Additional Training & Testing

Inspectors will also receive training and be tested in areas including:

• Researching and creating an NCR in MES
  
• Solid Rivet Inspection
  
• Blind Fastener Inspection
  
• Hex-Drive Bolt Inspection
  
• Lockbolt Inspection
  
• Bolt and Nut Inspection
  
• Fastener Inspection on Composites
