CTS International — Commissioning Technician - Electrical (Level 3 Start-Up & Energization), 12-month contract, Point Pleasant, VA (16 openings).

CTS International is hiring 16 experienced electrical commissioning technicians for Level 3 start-up, energization and pre-functional testing on a large mission-critical construction program in West Virginia. Technicians verify that switchgear, distribution equipment and associated components are installed, safe and operating to design intent before Level 4 functional testing begins.

Schedule is 6 days per week, 10 hours per day, with 20+ hours of overtime every week. Per diem, lodging and travel are provided for non-local technicians. Duration is approximately 6 months from mobilization, on a multi-year campus program with follow-on phases expected.

Scope of work: visual inspection and mechanical verification of panels and enclosures, foundation alignment and working clearance, bus bar torque verification and terminal inspection, main earth and inter-cubicle bonding. Insulation resistance (megger) testing across phases and to earth, phase sequence and rotation verification, cross-check of installed breakers, contactors and instrument transformers against design documents, and complete circuit labeling and tagging. No-load energization, protection relay setting input and validation, monitoring and control logic configuration, punch-list resolution, test result recording, and status tagging to release systems for Level 4.

All work is executed to approved Methods of Procedure with no deviation without written approval. Lockout/tagout discipline and arc-flash PPE compliance are required at all times. Field documentation is completed same-day - the turnover package is the deliverable.

ENGAGEMENT OPTIONS: W-2 through CTS, 1099 independent contractor, or corp-to-corp are all accepted.

Basic Requirements
- 5+ years commercial or industrial electrical field experience, including switchgear and power distribution
- Demonstrated Level 3 commissioning, start-up or acceptance-testing experience on medium- and low-voltage equipment
- Current NFPA 70E qualification and arc-flash PPE competency
- OSHA 10 or OSHA 30
- Hands-on competence with insulation resistance testing, phase rotation verification and calibrated torque procedures
- Ability to read single-line diagrams, schematics, panel schedules and equipment submittals
- Clean site-safety record; disciplined MOP and LOTO adherence
- Able to pass client background screening and drug testing
- Authorized to work in the United States
- Willing to work a 6-day, 10-hour schedule on a travel assignment in West Virginia

Preferred
- NETA Level II/III or NICET certification in electrical power testing
- OEM field-service or traveling test-crew background (switchgear, UPS, generators, protective relays)
- Relay test sets, primary and secondary injection, power quality instrumentation
- Commissioning documentation platforms; green-tag and turnover processes
- Prior data center, hospital, semiconductor or other critical-facility commissioning
- Military electrical power production, prime power or shipboard electrical systems
