Facility Engineer
SUMMARY
Manage CAPEX projects, which include but not limited to writing, justification, project management and execution. Provide leadership to Maintenance personnel ensuring the safety and effectiveness of the Pottsville facility and associated machinery and equipment. Coordinate and manage improvement initiatives to reduce cost and increase both productivity and quality for key plant processes.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSBILITIES include the following. Other closely related duties may be assigned.
• Manage CAPEX projects from estimating through completion. Will Manage the onsite contractors to ensure CAPEX projects are completed on safely and on-time.
• Coordinate and manage equipment and process development to meet current and future plant requirements. Define and implement the next generation of controls and equipment for the key manufacturing processes.
• Develop future site layouts, expansion, and equipment needed to support business growth.
• Lead and implement Management of Change (MOC) review projects as required.
• Manage Future factory initiatives including researching new technology for key plant processes and equipment, creating business cases and implementing new technology.
• In collaboration with EHS, support the Environmental compliance and HAZMAT program at the Pottsville facility.
• May lead the maintenance technical team to ensure support of all equipment.
• Ensure compliance to all regulations, including but not limited to OSHA, National Fire Protection Association (NFPA), National Electrical Code (NEC), and Department of Environmental Protection (DEP).
• Effective and efficient management of facilities, machinery and equipment to support customer requirements.
• Provide guidance to maintenance supervisor and maintenance mechanics to insure safe, efficient, performance of work.
• Maintain the maintenance section of the QMS system.
• Support ongoing use and improvements of CMMS platform for maintenance management.
• Maintain a safe, clean and secure working environment.
• Operate at all times in compliance with Hexcel Pottsville’s Actively Caring Safety Program and Integrated Management System.
• Comply with Hexcel policies, procedures and Code of Business Conduct.
• Perform similar job-related duties as assigned.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
• Bachelor Degree in Industrial or Mechanical Engineering or a related technical degree is required.
• Minimum five (5) years of related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Experience with supporting equipment maintenance and process improvements within a manufacturing environment required.
• Ability to analyze and resolve process and equipment issues.
• Experience using AutoCAD, required.
• Experience using 3D modeling software Solidworks or CATIA, preferred.
• Strong leadership skills and has the ability to influence and work with all levels of the organization.
• Excellent written, verbal communication, trouble shooting, and interpersonal skills.
• Competent in Microsoft Outlook, Teams, Word, Excel, Visio, MS Project and similar project training software, and power point.
