PDS Tech Commercial is seeking an experienced FPGA Design/Verification Engineer to join an exciting R&D program in partnership with a leader in the aviation industry.

What You'll Do

As an FPGA Design/Verification Engineer, you'll contribute throughout the development lifecycle while collaborating with a highly technical, multidisciplinary engineering team.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Design, develop, simulate, verify, integrate, and test ASIC and FPGA solutions supporting an advanced R&D program.
  
• Develop and integrate FPGA-based solutions involving digital signal processing (DSP), high-speed digital design, and high-speed communications.
  
• Support system-on-chip (SoC) implementations and embedded processor technologies on FPGA platforms.
  
• Work with COTS-based control platforms and FPGA-based embedded processing solutions.
  
• Develop automation techniques and scripts designed to streamline FPGA development efforts and improve affordability and efficiency.
  
• Collaborate closely with Systems Architects, RF/Analog engineers, Digital Circuit designers, and ASIC/FPGA engineers.
  
• Contribute to sophisticated systems incorporating high-speed networking concepts.
  
• Perform FPGA simulation, verification, hardware integration, and system-level testing.
  
• Support hardware-in-the-loop testing and troubleshoot designs using appropriate laboratory and debugging equipment.
  
• Provide technical guidance and support to junior engineers, helping strengthen the broader engineering team.
  
• Contribute ideas and technical expertise toward leading-edge products and future technology development.
  

Required Qualifications

To succeed in this position, you should bring:

• Hands-on experience with FPGA design tools, including Xilinx Vivado, Intel Quartus, and/or Synopsys Synplify.
  
• Strong proficiency in SystemVerilog.
  
• Experience using HDL simulators, waveform viewers, and coverage tools.
  
• Familiarity with hardware-in-the-loop (HIL) testing and associated test/debug equipment, including JTAG and logic analyzers.
  
• Experience with version control systems and configuration management.
  
• Experience designing, testing, verifying, or integrating FPGA-based digital systems.
  
• Ability to collaborate effectively across multiple engineering disciplines.
  

Preferred Qualifications

• Digital signal processing on FPGA platforms.
