Required Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline such as Science, Technology, or Engineering.
• 4+ years of turbine engine Performance & Operability Modeling and Analysis.
• Direct experience performing thermodynamic modeling and analysis as a Performance or Operability Engineer.
• Strong experience building, debugging, refining, and maintaining NPSS engine cycle models.
• Experience with steady-state and transient gas turbine engine thermodynamics.
• Strong requirements decomposition skills.
• Experience working in an MBSE environment.
• U.S. Citizen required.
Key Responsibilities
• Build, debug, refine, and maintain steady-state and transient thermal models using NPSS.
• Develop NPSS customer engine models.
• Perform gas turbine engine thermodynamic and operability modeling/analysis.
• Conduct requirements analysis and requirements decomposition.
• Develop test coverage and perform data reduction for engine development and qualification.
• Support engine definition throughout New Product Introduction (NPI).
• Work within an MBSE environment and support integration with tools such as Cameo.
• Transfer NPSS modeling knowledge and mentor engineering team members.
• Present technical information to leadership, customers, and engineering teams.
• Prepare technical reports and presentations.
• Collaborate across multiple engineering disciplines and global teams.
• Solve complex engineering and modeling problems.
Job Summary
• Support aerospace gas turbine engine Performance & Operability modeling and analysis.
• Build, debug, refine, and maintain NPSS engine cycle models for steady-state and transient conditions.
• Perform thermodynamic modeling and analysis directly as a Performance/Operability Engineer.
• Apply requirements decomposition and Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE).
• Support engine development, qualification, testing, and NPI activities.
• Provide technical knowledge transfer and mentoring on NPSS modeling techniques.
Preferred Qualifications
• Experience connecting NPSS models with MBSE tools such as Cameo.
• Strong gas turbine engine physics and thermodynamics knowledge.
• NPSS mentoring and knowledge-transfer experience.
• Aerospace engine development and qualification experience.
• Strong technical presentation and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple complex tasks.
• Experience working with diverse/global engineering teams.
• Strong problem-solving and adaptability.
Work Environment
• Onsite work preferred, with hybrid 3+ days/week available.
• Remote work may be accommodated based on business needs.
• Occasional onsite attendance may be required for customer-critical design reviews or test support.
• Cross-functional aerospace engineering and MBSE environment.
