Qualifying Questions:

Summary:

Builds, debugs, refines, and maintains steady state and transient thermal models using NPSS.

Develops NPSS customer models for gas turbine engine performance.

Performs requirements analysis and requirements decomposition.

Provides test coverage and data reduction to support engine development and qualification.

Connects NPSS models to MBSE tools such as Cameo.

Applies gas turbine engine steady state and transient thermodynamics and physics.

Performs thermodynamic modeling and analysis as a Performance or Operability Engineer.

Works in a Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) environment.

Transfers NPSS modeling techniques through mentoring and knowledge transfer.

Supports engine definition through all phases of the New Product Introduction (NPI) processes.

Requirements:

Must be a U.S. Person (as defined by ITAR).

Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution in a technical discipline such as sciences, technology, engineering.

4 years of experience with turbine engine Performance and Operability Modeling and Analysis.

Must be a U.S. Citizen.

Skilled and experienced with building, debugging, and refining NPSS engine cycle models.

Experience connecting NPSS models to MBSE tools such as Cameo.

Experience with steady state and transient thermodynamic cycles.

Experience with requirements analysis and requirements decomposition.

Experience with test coverage and data reduction for engine development and qualification.

Productive mentoring skills for NPSS modeling knowledge transfer.
