Are you a seasoned aerospace engineer ready to tackle some of the most complex challenges in flight? PDS Tech Commercial is partnering with a leader in the aviation industry to hire a Sr. Guidance, Navigation and Control (GN&C) Engineer in Englewood, Colorado.

In this role, you'll help design, develop, analyze, and test the technologies that enable advanced aerospace vehicles to navigate, maneuver, and perform their missions successfully. From sophisticated GN&C algorithms and flight software to simulations, hardware, and integrated aircraft platforms, your expertise will contribute throughout the product lifecycle.

What You'll Do

As a Sr. Guidance, Navigation and Control Engineer, you will:

• Design, develop, evaluate, and test GN&C algorithms, flight software, related hardware, simulations, and engineering tools.
  
• Analyze complex Guidance, Navigation and Control systems to assess vehicle flight qualities, performance, and mission capabilities.
  
• Support aerospace solutions ranging from advanced mission payloads and electronic systems to highly integrated aircraft platforms.
  
• Apply advanced engineering principles, analysis, and simulation techniques throughout the product lifecycle.
  
• Utilize Computer Aided Engineering (CAE) tools to model, analyze, and evaluate system performance.
  
• Collaborate with multi-disciplinary engineering and development teams to solve complex technical challenges.
  
• Contribute to system-level trade studies, analysis of alternatives, and technical decision-making.
  
• Support the definition and maturation of technical baselines in complex aerospace development environments.
  

Required Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you'll need:

• Bachelor of Science degree in Aerospace Engineering or a related discipline.
  
• Typically 10+ years of relevant engineering experience.
  
• Thorough understanding of engineering principles and practices.
  
• Advanced experience with Computer Aided Engineering tools, analysis, and simulation.
  
• Experience working successfully within multi-disciplinary design and development teams.
  
• Experience with system modeling tools.
  

Preferred Qualifications

We're especially interested in candidates who bring experience with:

• MATLAB/Simulink and/or C++.
  
• Guidance and/or Navigation algorithm development.
  
• Aerospace vehicles, sensor suites, and mission systems.
  
• Vehicle stability principles.
  
• Monte Carlo and trajectory analysis.
  
• Industry-standard aerospace engineering principles, including:

  • Model-based definition
    
  • Fundamentals of flight dynamics
    
  
  
  
• Leading baseline definition and maturation within complex development programs.
  
• Highly integrated trade studies and analysis of alternatives.

Working & Physical Requirements

This position may require:

• Frequent walking, sitting, standing, and climbing stairs or steps.
  
• Frequent repetitive hand, arm, and finger movements requiring hand and finger dexterity.
  
• Rare lifting or carrying of items weighing up to 25 lbs.
  
• Rare exposure to outdoor weather conditions, fumes or hazardous materials, and loud noises.
