PDS Tech Commercial is partnering with a leader in the aviation industry to hire a dependable and detail-oriented Shipping/Receiving Assistant in Ventura, California.

In this role, you'll play an important part in keeping materials, products, and equipment moving efficiently through the operation. From receiving and inspecting incoming shipments to preparing outbound materials and maintaining accurate inventory records, your attention to detail will help ensure the right materials get to the right place at the right time.

What You'll Do

As a Shipping/Receiving Assistant, your day-to-day responsibilities will include:

• Perform a combination of hands-on and clerical shipping and receiving duties

• Receive, inspect, and process incoming materials and shipments

• Prepare materials, products, and equipment for outbound shipment

• Use computer systems to track, log, verify, and report shipping and receiving activity

• Verify quantities, weights, and material identification against shipping and receiving documentation

• Unpack, pack, wrap, and label finished products, assemblies, parts, raw materials, office supplies, and equipment

• Process freight bills, packing slips, bills of lading, and other shipping documentation

• Maintain accurate shipping, receiving, and inventory records

• Route incoming materials and merchandise to the appropriate destinations

• Follow established shipping procedures, transportation requirements, and workplace safety guidelines

• Work closely with team members to support efficient and accurate material flow

Required Qualifications

We're looking for candidates who bring:

• Basic computer skills and the ability to work with inventory or tracking systems

• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills

• Ability to accurately handle shipping documentation and maintain records

• Ability to lift, move, and handle materials within a warehouse environment

• Strong communication and teamwork skills

• Must be eligible to obtain a Security Clearance.

High school diploma or equivalent is preferred.

Previous experience in warehouse operations, shipping and receiving, logistics, or inventory management is a plus.

Preferred Qualifications

You'll stand out if you have:

• Experience in a manufacturing, aerospace, or defense environment

• Familiarity with freight processing and shipping documentation

• Previous forklift experience
