PDS Tech Commercial is partnering with a leader in the aviation industry to hire a highly skilled CMM Programmer for an exciting opportunity in Fort Worth, TX.

In this role, you'll use your expertise in Zeiss Calypso, GD&T, and dimensional inspection to help ensure complex rotorcraft components and assemblies meet demanding engineering and quality standards. You'll work alongside engineering and manufacturing professionals to develop and optimize CMM programs, troubleshoot inspection challenges, and turn dimensional data into actionable results.

What You'll Do

As a CMM Programmer, you will:

• Develop, write, and optimize CMM programs using Zeiss Calypso software to support manufacturing and quality assurance operations.
  
• Interpret and apply advanced Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) requirements when programming inspections for complex rotorcraft components and assemblies.
  
• Review technical drawings and 3D models in collaboration with design and engineering teams to ensure accurate dimensional validation.
  
• Utilize CATIA and 3DX to interpret 3D models and incorporate design data into CMM programming.
  
• Maintain and update existing CMM programs to accommodate engineering changes, process improvements, and evolving quality requirements.
  
• Provide technical support and troubleshoot CMM programming and operational issues.
  
• Analyze dimensional information and communicate results, concerns, and recommendations to appropriate stakeholders.
  
• Prepare professional technical documentation, reports, and presentations using Microsoft PowerPoint, Access, Word, and Excel.
  
• Communicate programming results and recommendations effectively with customers, executive management, engineering teams, manufacturing teams, and other cross-functional partners.
  
• Help drive accuracy, consistency, and continuous improvement throughout manufacturing and inspection processes.
  

Required Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you'll need:

• Completed Bachelor's degree.
  
• 3-5 years of experience developing and validating CMM programs for complex components and assemblies.
  
• Advanced proficiency with Zeiss Calypso software for CMM programming.
  
• Strong understanding of GD&T principles and their application within manufacturing and inspection processes.
  
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including PowerPoint, Access, Word, and Excel.
  
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  
• Exceptional attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work.
  
• Effective written and verbal communication skills with the ability to interact with customers, executive management, and cross-functional teams.
  
• Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a collaborative team.
  
• Strong time management and organizational skills.
  

Preferred Qualifications

You'll stand out if you also bring:

• Experience using CATIA and 3DX to review and interpret 3D models and technical drawings.
  
• Previous experience within aerospace or rotorcraft manufacturing.
  
• Familiarity with aerospace manufacturing processes and quality standards.
  
• Experience collaborating directly with engineering, manufacturing, and quality teams.
  
• Demonstrated success improving or optimizing inspection and CMM programming processes.
