PDS Tech Commercial is partnering with a leader in the aviation industry to hire an experienced Wire Data Engineer in Fort Worth, TX.

In this highly technical role, you’ll help develop and integrate the wiring architecture that connects critical aircraft systems. From defining system requirements and interfaces to creating detailed wiring schematics and supporting aircraft testing, your work will have a direct impact on aircraft performance, reliability, and certification.

What You’ll Do

As a Wire Data Engineer, you will:

• Develop aircraft wiring system requirements, architecture, and interfaces to support the integration of aircraft systems.
  
• Manage electrical data bus and power requirements across aircraft systems.
  
• Develop aircraft wiring architecture, diagrams, and schematics using Mentor Graphics Capital tools.
  
• Utilize the Capital Harness Systems (CHS) toolset to develop and release wiring drawings.
  
• Coordinate closely with aircraft systems engineers and wire routing and installation design engineers.
  
• Evaluate wiring system architecture in a model-based design environment using applicable architecture tools.
  
• Support wiring suppliers throughout design and production activities.
  
• Provide technical support during aircraft build, installation, testing, and operations.
  
• Contribute to aircraft and system qualification, certification, troubleshooting, and verification activities.
  
• Collaborate across engineering disciplines to ensure wiring designs meet system, manufacturing, and aircraft integration requirements.
  

Required Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you’ll need:

• Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering or a closely related field.
  
• 5+ years of experience developing aircraft system wiring requirements, architectures, and interfaces.
  
• Direct hands-on experience using Mentor Graphics Capital tools for electrical wiring design.
  
• Experience with areas such as:
  
  
  
  • Electrical schematics and wiring diagrams
    
  • Wire harness platform architecture
    
  • Wire harness engineering
    
  • Manufacturing formboards and tooling
    
  • Technical publications
    
  
  
  
• Familiarity with military certification requirements and electrical wiring industry standards for aircraft.
  
• Eligibility to obtain a Secret Security Clearance.
  
• Ability to work onsite in Fort Worth, TX.
  

Preferred Qualifications

We’d especially like to hear from candidates with experience in:

• System development and testing within a Systems Integration Lab (SIL).
  
• Aircraft installation, functional testing, and troubleshooting.
  
• ENOVIA, DOORS, and Serena Dimensions.
  
• Creating system architecture and detailed wiring schematics.
  
• Supporting aircraft through integration, test, qualification, and certification activities.
