PDS Tech Commercial is partnering with a leader in the aviation and aerospace industry, to hire an Electronic Technician  to support its Avionics Development Center in Rancho Bernardo, CA.

This is an exciting opportunity for a hands-on electronics professional to support critical fabrication and testing efforts in both production and development environments. Depending on your skills and experience, you'll focus on either wire harness fabrication or detailed soldering and circuit card repair, helping bring advanced electronic and electromechanical systems from concept to reality.

What You'll Do

Working under close supervision and alongside experienced technical and engineering teams, you will support development engineering activities involving design, testing, fabrication, modification, and assembly.

Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:

• Support the design, test, checkout, fabrication, modification, and assembly of electronic and electromechanical systems.
  
• Work with experimental design circuitry, prototype models, and specialized test equipment.
  
• Assemble, install, test, and maintain electronic systems, components, and equipment.
  
• Diagnose and repair circuit boards, wiring, and other electronic components.
  
• Perform wire harness fabrication or detailed soldering and circuit card repair, depending on your experience and technical strengths.
  
• Follow established technical procedures and quality requirements throughout fabrication and assembly activities.
  
• Maintain compliance with NGC CAT 2 Foreign Object Elimination (FOE), Foreign Object Damage (FOD), safety, quality, and Electrostatic Discharge (ESD) standards.
  

Required Qualifications

We're seeking candidates who bring:

• 4 years of related electronics experience, OR electronics training equivalent to 2 years of technical trade school or military technical school.
  
• Experience fabricating wire harnesses or circuit card assemblies.
  
• Strong attention to detail and a commitment to quality workmanship.
  
• Ability to work on-site in the Rancho Bernardo area of San Diego, CA.
  

Preferred Qualifications

Stand out from the crowd with current or previously held certifications in:

• IPC-WHMA-A-620 for wire harness fabrication.
  
• IPC J-STD-001 for soldered electrical and electronic assemblies.
  
• IPC-7711/7721 for circuit card rework and repair.
