PDS Tech Commercial is partnering with, a leader in the aviation and aerospace industry, to hire an experienced Electronic Technician 3 for its Avionics Development Center in Rancho Bernardo, California.

As part of the Avionics Development Center, you'll support critical fabrication, testing, diagnostic, and maintenance activities that help ensure sophisticated electronic systems perform reliably and meet demanding design requirements.

What You'll Do

In this hands-on role, you'll work with electronic systems and components throughout the testing, troubleshooting, and maintenance process. Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:

• Assemble, install, test, and maintain electronic systems, components, and equipment.
  
• Diagnose and repair circuit boards, wiring, and other electronic components.
  
• Troubleshoot analog and digital circuits and isolate malfunctions down to the component level.
  
• Perform operational testing under environmental stress screening, vibration, and thermal conditions to verify compliance with design specifications.
  
• Conduct defined engineering tests and collect assigned test data.
  
• Perform diagnostics and root cause analysis using equipment such as oscilloscopes, multimeters, RF generators, and spectrum analyzers.
  
• Accurately document test results, repairs, maintenance activities, and findings.
  
• Maintain compliance with NGC CAT 2 Foreign Object Elimination (FOE), Foreign Object Damage (FOD), quality, safety, and Electrostatic Discharge (ESD) standards.
  

Required Qualifications

To be considered for the Electronic Technician 3 position, you should have:

• 4 years of related electronics experience, OR electronics training equivalent to 2 years of technical trade school or military technical school.
  
• Experience troubleshooting analog and digital circuits.
  
• Strong hands-on troubleshooting and diagnostic skills.
  
• Ability to work effectively in an on-site production and development environment.
  

Preferred Qualifications

You'll stand out if you also bring:

• Familiarity with RF systems, digital/analog circuits, or embedded electronics.
  
• Experience with component-level troubleshooting.
  
• Hands-on experience using VOM, DVM, and similar electronic test equipment.
  
• Knowledge or experience with IPC-A-610 Class III Surface Mount standards.
