Summary:

Develops and implements manufacturing processes, procedures, and production layouts for assemblies, equipment installation, processing, fabrication, and material handling.

Drives adoption of new technologies and processes including automation, robotics, and computer-aided manufacturing software.

Creates and analyzes 3D-based model data environments to optimize manufacturing processes and digital work instructions.

Leverages understanding of materials and automatic processes to define operations procedures and build sequences.

Evaluates performance of equipment and tools including IoT devices and initiates corrective action.

Leverages factory data to develop statistical process control approaches and integrates reporting and data analytics solutions.

Provides input to product design regarding design concepts and specification requirements.

Influences decisions without formal authority as technical lead on design reviews and process improvement initiatives.

Applies Systems Engineering V Model, requirements flow down, and verification and validation processes.

Uses Model Based Engineering (MBSE) for manufacturing process optimization.

Requirements:

Must be a U.S. Person (as defined by ITAR).

Bachelor s degree in Mechanical, Aerospace, Electrical, Systems Engineering, or a related field.

Preferred: Master s degree or coursework in Model Based Engineering (MBE) or Systems Engineering.

5-8 years of experience in manufacturing engineering, preferably in aerospace, defense, or high tech hardware.

5+ years of experience in Systems Engineering.

3+ years of experience with Model Based Engineering (MBSE).

Understanding of the Systems Engineering V Model, requirements flow down, and verification and validation (V&V) processes.

Influencing decisions without formal authority (technical lead on design reviews, process improvement initiatives).
