Qualifying Questions:

Summary:

Consults with internal and external stakeholders to develop technical requirements for numerical control and manufacturing processes.

Identifies equipment and approaches, ensures accommodation of numerical control programming, and resolves manufacturing or production process concerns.

Manages implementation of new and revised computing applications for design, machining, or inspection systems.

Trains and mentors others in automation and robotic programming.

Applies knowledge of ABB RobotStudio, ABB robots, KUKA robots, Fanuc robots, automation control systems, design, machining, and robot cell programming.

Works with high-speed machining in a production environment.

Reads, understands, and interprets engineering drawings.

Uses CAD/CAM software including CATIA, Vericut simulation, MasterCAM, Robot Studio, and CENIT.

Applies certification or training in automation or robotics.

Works with 3D modeling for automation and robotic programming.

Requirements:

Must be a U.S. Person (as defined by ITAR).

AA degree in related discipline and typically 9 or more years of related experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

9 or more years of related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Experience with high-speed machining in a production environment.

Ability to read, understand, and interpret engineering drawings.

Experience as machinist or robotics with shop floor programming skills.

Experience in CAD/CAM software including CATIA, Vericut simulation, MasterCAM, Robot Studio, or CENIT.

Certification or training in automation or robotics.

Experience working in a production environment.

Experience with 3D modeling.

Knowledge of ABB RobotStudio, ABB robots, KUKA robots, Fanuc robots, automation control systems, design, machining, and robot cell programming.
