Summary:
Analyzes customer and system requirements to develop architectural approaches and detailed specifications for electronic products.
Develops high-level and detailed designs consistent with requirements and specifications.
Validates designs through review, testing, and analysis.
Identifies, tracks, and statuses technical performance measures to ensure compliance with requirements.
Supports Supplier Management with make/buy recommendations and technical services.
Provides engineering support throughout the product lifecycle.
Investigates emerging technologies to develop concepts for future product designs.
Applies System Verilog for design and verification.
Uses UVM (Universal Verification Methodology) for verification.
Applies strong digital hardware fundamentals to design and validation.
Requirements:
Active Secret Security Clearance required to start.
Must be a U.S. Person (as defined by ITAR).
Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 5 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. PhD, Master 3 years' related work experience). In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.
At least 2 years of System Verilog experience.
At least 2 years of UVM (Universal Verification Methodology) experience.
Strong digital hardware fundamentals.
Ability to exercise sound engineering judgment.
Ability to work independently with minimal oversight.
Ability to communicate clearly and proactively.
Ability to produce high-quality technical documentation.
Ability to take ownership of work and deliver maintainable engineering solutions.
Ability to explain personal technical contributions, design decisions, debugging approach, and ownership of deliverables.
