Degreed Mechanical Design Engineer (Catia)

Description:
Senior-level mechanical and structural aircraft design, with responsibility for developing and supporting complex aircraft structures and mechanical components.

Key qualifications to target
• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or related engineering discipline
• Extensive professional engineering experience, appropriate for a Contractor 5 / senior-level position
• Strong aircraft mechanical and structural design background
• Experience designing aircraft structures, mechanical components, assemblies and/or mechanisms
• Strong proficiency with CATIA V5
• Experience with 3D solid modeling and detailed engineering drawings
• Knowledge of GD&T
• Experience with MBD (Model-Based Definition) is highly desirable
• Understanding of DFMA — Design for Manufacturing and Assembly
• Experience with metallic and/or composite aircraft structures
• Ability to develop designs from concept through production
• Ability to evaluate designs for strength, weight, manufacturability, cost and producibility
• Experience working with manufacturing, stress, materials/processes and other engineering organizations
