Schedule: Monday–Friday | First Shift | 9/80 Schedule | 7:30 AM–4:00 PM or 5:00 PM

THE OPPORTUNITY

PDS Tech Commercial is partnering with a leader in the aviation industry to hire an experienced Maintenance Technician to support the reliable operation of facilities, machinery, and critical manufacturing equipment.

This is a hands-on role for a skilled maintenance professional who understands mechanical and pneumatic systems and can troubleshoot, repair, and maintain equipment in a demanding aerospace environment. Your expertise will help prevent equipment failures, maintain safe operations, and keep critical production activities moving.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

As a Maintenance Technician, you will:

• Perform repairs and preventive maintenance on plant facilities, machinery, and equipment.
  
• Troubleshoot, test, inspect, and repair mechanical and industrial equipment.
  
• Conduct routine, periodic, and special inspections to identify maintenance needs and prevent breakdowns.
  
• Work across multiple maintenance disciplines, including:
  
  
  
  • Mechanical equipment repair
    
  • Electrical systems
    
  • Plumbing
    
  • Carpentry
    
  • Painting
    
  • Sheet metal fabrication
    
  • Welding
    
  
  
  
• Diagnose and repair mechanical and pneumatic systems.
  
• Use hand tools and power tools to complete maintenance and repair assignments.
  
• Read and interpret blueprints, sketches, layouts, wiring diagrams, drawings, and technical specifications.
  
• Work with mechanical devices and equipment in accordance with established procedures.
  
• Safely work on and around high-pressure and combustible gases.
  
• Document and communicate work performed, issues identified, and repairs completed.
  
• Follow instructions, safety procedures, and established maintenance practices.
  
• Work independently while also collaborating effectively with the maintenance and production teams.
  
• Respond to changing operational needs and support flexible work requirements when necessary.
  
• Help maintain reliable facility and equipment performance through proactive maintenance and troubleshooting.
  

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

• 10+ years of experience in the aerospace industry or a related technical field.
  
• High School Diploma or equivalent.
  
• Strong knowledge of mechanical and pneumatic systems.
  
• Experience troubleshooting and repairing machinery and equipment.
  
• Ability to safely work on and around high-pressure and combustible gases.
  
• Proficiency using small hand tools and power tools.
  
• Ability to read and interpret drawings, schematics, wiring diagrams, and specifications.
  
• Ability to work independently while maintaining a strong focus on safety.
  
• Mechanical aptitude and hands-on experience with mechanical devices.
  
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
  
• Ability to follow instructions and accurately describe work performed.
  
• Ability to work effectively in a dynamic manufacturing environment, including occasional schedule adjustments such as coming in early, staying late, or adjusting breaks when operationally required.
  

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Aerospace or aviation manufacturing experience.
  
• Experience with welding and brazing techniques.
  
• Soldering experience.
  
• Sheet metal fabrication experience.
  
• Electrical troubleshooting and repair experience.
  
• Experience performing preventive and predictive maintenance.
  
• Familiarity with industrial manufacturing equipment and facility systems.
  
• Experience working in environments requiring strict safety and quality standards.
