Welding Process & Manufacturing Engineer

This is a hands-on opportunity for someone with a strong background in welding, brazing, manufacturing engineering, or weld process development. You’ll play a key role in developing and documenting weld and braze processes, supporting equipment and operator programs, improving manufacturing processes, and helping ensure compliance with established requirements.

Pay Rate: $43/hour
Shift: 1st Shift
Employment: Temp-to-Hire
Administer and support weld and braze programs.
Develop welding and brazing parameters and document successful weld joint variables.
Develop and implement new welding processes and technologies.
Support welding equipment programs and weld operator qualification programs.
Assist with process compliance audits and manufacturing process requirements.
Provide hands-on manufacturing engineering support for production operations.
Identify process issues, determine root causes, and develop effective solutions.
Support weld joint non-destructive testing requirements.
Work closely with manufacturing, engineering, operations, and other technical teams.
Manage multiple assignments and projects while maintaining organization and priorities.
Communicate technical information clearly to team members and customers.
Provide leadership and technical guidance when supporting junior team members or projects.
Use Microsoft Office applications including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
Perform additional duties as assigned.
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university or college OR high school diploma/GED with at least 6 years of experience in weld engineering or manufacturing.
Previous experience working in a manufacturing environment.
Strong knowledge of welding processes and weld/braze program management.
Experience developing welding parameters and documenting weld processes.
Experience with welding equipment and weld operator programs.
Understanding of weld joint NDT requirements.
Strong problem-solving and process improvement skills.
Excellent organizational and project management abilities.
Ability to manage multiple assignments in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office.
