Your Impact
As a Numerical Control Programmer, you'll be responsible for creating, verifying, and optimizing machine control data that drives sophisticated CNC equipment used to manufacture and inspect aerospace parts, tools, and assemblies. You'll work closely with engineering and manufacturing teams to implement innovative machining solutions and improve production processes.
Your technical expertise will help ensure precision, quality, and efficiency across critical aviation manufacturing programs.
What You'll Do
Day-to-Day Responsibilities
Develop, verify, and revise Machine Control Data (MCD) for a wide range of numerically controlled equipment.
Create and maintain machining geometry and technical documentation required for production and inspection operations.
Establish manufacturing and producibility requirements for aerospace components and assemblies.
Program CNC equipment using CATIA V5 and other manufacturing software tools.
Analyze engineering designs and translate requirements into efficient machining strategies.
Support the development and integration of new machining methods, manufacturing processes, software applications, and equipment technologies.
Identify appropriate machining approaches and equipment for complex manufacturing challenges.
Perform program validation and ensure manufacturing readiness prior to production.
Troubleshoot programming and machining issues to improve quality and productivity.
Collaborate with manufacturing, engineering, and quality teams to optimize production performance.
Assist with training, mentoring, and technical guidance for team members.
Support continuous improvement initiatives focused on efficiency, precision, and process excellence.
Required Qualifications
Education & Experience
Associate degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Minimum of 1 year of related experience in Numerical Control programming.
Minimum of 1 year of experience programming with CATIA V5.
Knowledge of machining principles, manufacturing processes, and CNC programming techniques.
Ability to interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and manufacturing requirements.
Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
Ability to work independently under minimal supervision.
Preferred Qualifications
3 or more years of related manufacturing or NC programming experience.
Advanced experience with 5-axis programming using CATIA V5.
Experience with:
CATPart creation
CATProduct creation
Assembly functions
Knowledge of high-speed machining methodologies.
Experience with Vericut simulation and program verification.
Debugging and troubleshooting expertise for complex machining operations.
Tool creation and tool library management experience.
Understanding of configuration management principles.
Aerospace or aviation manufacturing experience.
Strong communication and collaboration skills.

Pay Details: $55.32 per hour
