Job Type: Full-Time Consultant (12-Month Assignment)

Schedule: Monday-Friday | 9/80 Schedule

Pay Rate: $64.70 per hour

PDS Tech Commercial is partnering with a leading aviation industry organization to find a highly skilled Product Trainer who can bridge real-world operational expertise with impactful training delivery.



In this role, you'll leverage your experience in air and maritime surveillance operations to support training initiatives, operational analysis, and system integration efforts that help strengthen situational awareness and decision-making across complex operational environments. Your expertise will directly contribute to the success of critical surveillance and C2 programs supporting national and international mission requirements.



What You'll Do



As a Product Trainer, you will serve as a subject matter expert in Surface and Air Surveillance and Command & Control operations, translating hands-on operational experience into engaging training and support solutions.



Key Responsibilities




  • Deliver technical and operational training for surveillance and Command & Control systems.
  • Develop and maintain training materials, presentations, and instructional content.
  • Support operational integration, analysis, and training initiatives related to air and maritime surveillance missions.
  • Educate personnel on building and maintaining recognized air and surface pictures using multiple sensors, communications paths, and tactical data links.
  • Provide insight into the integration of surface and air sensors, voice communications, data communications, and multi-domain operational inputs.
  • Apply real-world expertise to enhance training effectiveness and operational readiness.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders, technical teams, and operational personnel to ensure training aligns with mission objectives.
  • Support program activities involving simulation, exercises, operational assessments, and performance improvement efforts.
  • Mentor and guide learners through complex surveillance and C2 concepts, helping them develop confidence and proficiency.


Required Qualifications




  • Prior military service in the U.S. Air Force, Navy, Coast Guard, Marine Corps, NATO, or equivalent allied service.
  • Direct experience in surface and/or air surveillance operations.
  • Experience identifying, tracking, and managing air and surface contacts.
  • Experience contributing to or maintaining a Common Operational Picture (COP) or Recognized Air/Maritime Picture.
  • Demonstrated operational proficiency regardless of rank or position.
  • Knowledge of Automatic Independent Surveillance, marine radar products, and maritime safety operations.
  • Familiarity with:

    • ADS-B
    • Radio Direction Finding
    • Electronic Support Measures (ESM)
    • Electronic Intelligence (ELINT)


  • Strong understanding of Command & Control operations and sensor integration.


Preferred Qualifications




  • Instructor or training experience at a recognized military schoolhouse, training center, or operational training command.
  • Background as a:

    • Navy Operations Specialist (OS)
    • Coast Guard surveillance operator
    • Air Force C2 or air surveillance operator
    • Marine Corps Tactical Operations specialist
    • Equivalent surveillance or battle management professional


  • Joint, coalition, or multi-domain operational experience.
  • Experience supporting training development, simulation environments, or operational analysis programs.
  • Background working within complex surveillance or mission management systems.

Pay Details: $64.70 per hour
