  • Job Type: Full-Time Consultant (9-Month Contract)
  • Pay Rate: $37.61 per hour
  • Schedule: Monday-Friday | 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM
  • Work Setting: Onsite
  • Travel: Up to 10% domestic travel may be required
  • Relocation Assistance: Not Available

What You'll Do



As a key member of the procurement team, you will:




  • Manage the full procurement lifecycle, from supplier selection and RFQ/RFP issuance through purchase order closeout.
  • Prepare and administer purchase orders and procurement documentation in compliance with company policies and procedures.
  • Analyze supplier quotations, conduct price evaluations, and negotiate competitive pricing and favorable terms.
  • Monitor open purchase orders and proactively manage supplier performance and delivery commitments.
  • Communicate delivery updates and potential schedule impacts to Operations, Program Management, Engineering, and Quality teams.
  • Escalate supplier issues when necessary to ensure program schedules remain on track.
  • Support proposal activities by obtaining, reviewing, and evaluating supplier quotes.
  • Develop and maintain strong, long-term relationships with suppliers and internal stakeholders.
  • Identify and qualify new sources of supply in partnership with Supplier Quality and Engineering teams.
  • Participate in supplier reviews, program reviews, and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Utilize SAP and advanced Excel tools to manage procurement data, requisitions, reporting, and supplier performance metrics.
  • Assist team members in managing procurement activities across multiple programs in a high-volume environment.




Required Qualifications




  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Project Management, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum of two years of buying or procurement experience.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building abilities.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.




Preferred Qualifications




  • Experience collaborating with Operations, Program Management, Engineering, Quality, and other internal stakeholders.
  • Proficiency with SAP, Microsoft Excel, and Microsoft Word.
  • Advanced Excel skills, including managing large datasets and complex requisition lines.
  • Strong negotiation and supplier management experience.
  • Knowledge of procurement processes, standards, and supply chain best practices.
  • Experience supporting supplier performance initiatives, on-time delivery metrics, cost savings programs, and continuous improvement efforts.
  • Ability to identify risks, solve problems proactively, and develop mitigation strategies.
  • Self-motivated with strong time management skills.
  • Team-oriented mindset with the ability to contribute across multiple projects and programs.

Pay Details: $37.61 per hour
