Location: Medford, NY
Job Type: Full-Time Consultant (9-Month Contract)
Pay Rate: $29.06 per hour
Schedule: Monday-Friday | 7:30 AM - 4:30 PM
Overtime: Available and may be mandatory based on business needs

As a CMM Operator, you will play a vital role in ensuring the quality and accuracy of aerospace components that support industry-leading aviation programs. Your expertise in inspection, measurement, and quality documentation will help maintain the highest standards of manufacturing excellence while supporting continuous improvement initiatives across the operation.
What You'll Do
Set up, program, and operate Coordinate Measuring Machine (CMM) equipment for first-article, in-process, and final inspections.
Create, modify, troubleshoot, and optimize CMM inspection programs, including Calypso-based programming.
Perform detailed dimensional inspections using precision measurement tools such as micrometers, calipers, height gages, optical comparators, and other inspection equipment.
Document inspection findings and generate reports for quality records, FAIRs (First Article Inspection Reports), and customer submissions.
Identify and communicate nonconformances to engineering, production, and quality teams.
Support root cause investigations, corrective actions, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Maintain calibration records and ensure compliance with quality management systems and safety standards.
Assist with training operators and inspectors on measurement techniques, equipment usage, and blueprint interpretation.
Required Qualifications
High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
Minimum of 1 year of hands-on CMM programming experience.
Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications.
Strong understanding of precision measurement and inspection techniques.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in aerospace, defense, automotive, or precision machining environments.
Familiarity with FAIRs, PPAPs, AS9100, and/or ISO 9001 quality standards.
Experience using Calypso or similar CMM programming software.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and quality documentation systems.
Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
