PDS Tech Commercial is partnering with a leading name in the aerospace industry to find skilled Structural Mechanics ready to put their craftsmanship to work building aircraft that take the world higher.

If you have a passion for hands-on work, an eye for precision, and the drive to build structures that meet the highest standards in aviation, this is your opportunity to launch or advance your aerospace career.

The Role

As a Structural Mechanic, you’ll work as part of a team-oriented production environment, performing structural assembly and fitting operations under moderate supervision. Your work will directly contribute to the quality, safety, and reliability of aircraft structures while ensuring every assembly meets FAA requirements, customer specifications, and rigorous aerospace quality standards.

This is more than a job—you'll be part of the team helping bring world-class aircraft from the production floor to the skies.

What You'll Do

  • Assemble and fit detail parts and aircraft structures using a variety of drilling, riveting, and fastening techniques.

  • Perform structural riveting on sheet metal parts and assemblies using portable riveting guns, pneumatic tools, drills, countersinks, rivet shavers, files, reamers, and related equipment.

  • Read and interpret work orders, blueprints, lofts, sketches, and operation sheets to determine assembly sequences, rivet sizes, and hole patterns.

  • Align and assemble components using jigs, fixtures, pins, clamps, and fasteners.

  • Inspect your work throughout the assembly process to ensure defect-free structures before final inspection.

  • Maintain required production documentation, including MIR sheets, DMTs, Crabs, and PCOs.

  • Enter daily labor accurately into the resource planning system against the appropriate Work Order and Item numbers.

  • Maintain a clean, organized work environment and support the company's 5S and Lean initiatives.

  • Participate in continuous improvement activities, including YIAW and Kaizen events.

  • Properly maintain assigned tools and shop equipment.

  • Follow all safety policies, procedures, and regulations.

  • Perform additional duties as assigned by your supervisor.

What You Bring

Required Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED.

  • At least 1 year of related structural assembly experience.

  • Basic knowledge of aircraft structures, sheet metal, and fabrication processes.

  • Ability to read and interpret basic blueprints.

  • Basic computer skills.
