Location: Savannah, GA | Payrate: $56.09/hour | Schedule: 1st shift, 8am to 5pm 

PDS Tech Commercial is partnering with a leader in the aerospace industry to find an experienced Materials and Processes (M&P) Engineer ready to take on complex engineering challenges and help advance the development and production of next-generation aircraft.

In this role, you’ll support the planning, coordination, design, analysis, and engineering liaison activities behind leading aerospace products and services. You’ll tackle challenging technical problems, collaborate across engineering disciplines, and work with internal teams and external suppliers to develop solutions that meet demanding quality, performance, schedule, and cost objectives. 

This is a full-time, onsite opportunity for an engineer who thrives on solving complex problems and turning technical expertise into real-world aerospace solutions. 

What you’ll do 

  • Plan, develop, and coordinate important engineering projects involving Materials and Processes. 

  • Provide specialized technical guidance and assistance to engineering team members. 

  • Apply advanced engineering techniques and theories to solve complex technical problems. 

  • Develop practical solutions while balancing schedule, cost, quality, and performance objectives. 

  • Generate and communicate technical requirements to external suppliers and internal engineering disciplines, including Powerplant, Environmental Control, Structures, Electrical, and Mechanical. 

  • Review proposed designs and engineering workflows using SmarTeam and CATIA. 

  • Develop and support EAR-approved test plans and results reports. 

  • Participate in manufacturing liaison activities and Material Review Board (MRB) integration. 

  • Identify opportunities for process improvements and support continuous improvement initiatives. 

  • Act as a technical liaison with teams and representatives outside the assigned engineering group. 

  • Stay current on developments in M&P and related aircraft engineering disciplines and recommend innovations that improve product quality and effectiveness. 

  • Work on engineering projects involving critical problems that require significant technological advances and extensive development. 

  • Perform other duties as assigned. 

What you bring 

Required qualifications 

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a related curriculum, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. 

  • 5+ years of experience in a specific technical discipline or 10+ years of broad engineering experience across multiple technical disciplines. 

  • Strong technical problem-solving skills and the ability to work with limited supervision. 

  • Experience applying engineering principles to complex projects and developing solutions independently. 

  • Strong communication and collaboration skills across multidisciplinary teams. 

  • Understanding of Materials and Processes engineering and continuous improvement principles. 

  • Ability to work full-time onsite. 

 

Preferred qualifications 

  • Advanced degree in an engineering-related field. 

  • Materials and Processes Engineering experience in aerospace or aircraft manufacturing. 

  • Experience generating and communicating technical requirements to suppliers and multidisciplinary engineering teams. 

  • Experience with SmarTeam and CATIA. 

  • Experience developing EAR-approved test plans and results reports. 

  • Demonstrated success with manufacturing liaison and MRB integration. 

  • Experience implementing continuous improvement projects. 

  • Knowledge of aircraft materials, manufacturing processes, and related engineering disciplines.

Pay Details: $56.09 per hour
