Schedule: Monday-Friday | First Shift | 6:00 AM-3:30 PM
Pay Rate Starting at : $26.01 per hour
As a Quality Test Specialist, you'll help verify that machined, fabricated, and assembled components meet strict engineering specifications and quality requirements. Your work will directly impact manufacturing excellence, product reliability, and customer satisfaction while supporting advanced aerospace programs.
This role is ideal for detail-oriented professionals who enjoy working with advanced inspection equipment, interpreting technical drawings, and ensuring products meet exacting standards.
In this role, you will:
Perform precision inspections of machined, fabricated, and assembled components
Verify conformance to engineering drawings, specifications, and quality requirements
Create test coupons and perform inspections following documented procedures
Set up and calibrate specialized testing and measurement equipment
Conduct basic testing and inspections while collecting data for evaluation
Analyze inspection, testing, and statistical data to determine product and process conformity
Escalate anomalous or out-of-specification results as required
Measure critical dimensions using:
Height gauges
Dial indicators
Surface plates
Gauge blocks
Micrometers
Optical comparators
Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMMs)
Evaluate dimensional accuracy, geometric tolerances, surface finish, and workmanship
Interpret engineering drawings, inspection plans, and GD&T requirements
Document inspection results and quality findings accurately
Identify defects, deviations, and nonconformances and communicate findings to Quality Engineering, Manufacturing, and Operations teams
Support continuous improvement efforts by collaborating with machining and manufacturing teams
Maintain compliance with AS9100 standards and customer quality requirements
Keep inspection areas organized, safe, and audit-ready
Associate degree or equivalent combination of education and related experience
Minimum of 2 years of relevant quality inspection, testing, or manufacturing experience
Experience reading and interpreting:
Engineering drawings
Blueprints
Technical specifications
GD&T requirements (ASME Y14.5)
Experience using manual precision measuring equipment, including:
Height gauges
Dial indicators
Gauge pins
Gauge blocks
Micrometers
Calipers
Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
Ability to accurately document inspection and testing results
Strong communication and teamwork skills
Experience operating articulated arm portable CMMs such as:
FARO Arm
Romer Arm
Experience operating and programming bridge-style CMM equipment such as:
Brown & Sharpe
Hexagon
Knowledge of aerospace manufacturing and inspection processes
Familiarity with AS9100 quality standards
Experience working in regulated manufacturing environments
Background supporting machining operations or quality assurance functions
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
