Location: Winston-Salem, NC

Job Type: Full-Time Consultant (6-Month Assignment)

Schedule: Monday-Friday | First Shift | 7:00 AM-3:45 PM (45-minute lunch)

Pay Rate: $48.44 per hour

Overtime: Occasional overtime and weekend work may be required

As an Integration & Test Engineer, you'll support the Interiors Engineering Development Lab (EDL) in building, testing, evaluating, and refining commercial aircraft seating and cabin furniture systems. Working closely with engineering teams, you'll play a critical role in validating product performance, safety, durability, and compliance with strict aerospace standards.



This position offers a unique blend of hands-on assembly, testing, troubleshooting, and technical collaboration within an innovative aerospace environment.





What You'll Do



In this role, you will:




  • Collaborate with engineering teams to build, assemble, test, and refine commercial aircraft seats and interior furnishings
  • Set up and prepare test equipment for structural testing activities
  • Support dynamic, static load, life-cycle, and flammability testing programs
  • Assist with prototype manufacturing and test article assembly
  • Participate in test article inspections and conformity reviews
  • Interpret engineering drawings and technical documentation to guide assembly and testing activities
  • Provide technical support throughout structural testing projects
  • Evaluate test procedures, results, and build configurations while offering valuable feedback to engineering teams
  • Utilize hand tools and mechanical skills to perform assembly, modification, and troubleshooting tasks
  • Document test results and maintain accurate engineering records
  • Use Microsoft Word and Excel to prepare reports and organize project data
  • Support materials management, inventory activities, shipping, and receiving functions within the lab
  • Contribute to a fast-paced testing environment where teamwork, precision, and efficiency are essential




Required Qualifications




  • High School Diploma, Associate Degree, or equivalent combination of education and related experience
  • Typically requires:

    • Associate Degree and 3+ years of related experience, or
    • High School Diploma with 4+ years of relevant experience


  • Mechanical aptitude and hands-on experience working with tools and equipment
  • Experience using basic hand tools safely and effectively
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and technical documents
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • Basic computer proficiency
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
  • Authorization to work in the United States without sponsorship now or in the future




Preferred Qualifications




  • Experience in aerospace, automotive, manufacturing, or other highly regulated industries
  • Background in testing, quality assurance, or engineering lab environments
  • Experience with:

    • Aircraft interiors
    • Mechanical testing
    • Prototype development
    • Product validation


  • Automotive, carpentry, woodworking, or fabrication experience
  • Knowledge of metal machining and fabrication equipment
  • Experience using 2D and 3D modeling software
  • Strong organizational, multitasking, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to adapt quickly to shifting priorities and project demands

Pay Details: $48.44 per hour
