PDS Tech Commercial is partnering with a leading aviation and aerospace company to hire an Electrical/Electronic Assembly Technician in Huntsville, AL. Job Type: Full-Time Consultant (12-Month Assignment)

Schedule: First Shift | Monday-Friday | 6:00 AM - 6:30 PM

Pay Rate: Starting at $35.73 per hour

As an Electrical/Electronic Assembly Technician, you'll play a vital role in the assembly, inspection, repair, and modification of electronic and electrical systems used in advanced aerospace applications. Your attention to detail and technical expertise will help ensure high-quality products meet demanding performance and reliability standards.



Working with minimal supervision, you'll support manufacturing operations while contributing to continuous improvement, quality excellence, and production success.



What You'll Do



In this role, you will:




  • Assemble complex electronic, electrical, and mechanical assemblies and subassemblies
  • Build and solder circuit boards according to engineering specifications and work instructions
  • Perform inspections to verify product quality and compliance with requirements
  • Conduct rework, repairs, and modifications on parts and assemblies as needed
  • Read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and manufacturing documentation
  • Present and communicate production and inspection data to support problem-solving activities
  • Perform machine setup, inspections, and routine maintenance on production equipment and tooling
  • Assemble and deliver production kits
  • Conduct receiving inspections of incoming materials
  • Document inspection and production results in accordance with established procedures
  • Coordinate with management and cross-functional teams to establish work priorities and resolve production issues
  • Update work status and production documentation accurately
  • Participate in team meetings and continuous improvement initiatives
  • Support a safe, organized, and efficient manufacturing environment


Required Qualifications




  • High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Typically 7 or more years of related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Experience soldering circuit boards and electronic components
  • Ability to read, interpret, and follow technical drawings, blueprints, and work instructions
  • Basic computer proficiency
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision


Preferred Qualifications




  • Additional experience soldering and assembling complex electronic systems
  • Vocational school training, Associate degree, or other technical education in electronics, manufacturing, or a related field
  • Experience working in aerospace, aviation, electronics manufacturing, or defense environments
  • Familiarity with inspection processes and quality documentation requirements
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
  • Experience supporting production teams in a fast-paced manufacturing environment

This position requires the ability to:




  • Stand, walk, and bend throughout the workday
  • Perform detailed hand assembly tasks at a workstation
  • Maintain focus and precision while working with small electronic components
  • Work in an onsite manufacturing environment

Pay Details: $35.73 per hour
