Pay Rate: $34.48-$36.23 per hour

As a Composite Technician, you'll play a critical role in the fabrication, bonding, assembly, and repair of advanced aircraft components. Your expertise will help ensure the structural integrity, quality, and performance of aerospace products that support safe and reliable flight operations around the world.

What You'll Do

In this role, you will:

  • Lay out, assemble, pre-fit, and bond a variety of metal, composite, and laminate fabrications, assemblies, parts, skins, and equipment

  • Interpret engineering drawings, manufacturing specifications, work orders, charts, sketches, and technical documentation

  • Determine bonding requirements, including temperature and pressure specifications, based on manufacturing instructions

  • Cut materials and components to precise dimensions

  • Operate autoclaves, hydraulic presses, ovens, and other specialized equipment to complete bonding cycles

  • Sand, burr, smooth, and finish bonded surfaces to required specifications

  • Apply sealing resins to cut and exposed edges

  • Perform composite lay-ups and fabricate composite and metal assemblies using optical and hard tooling

  • Conduct repairs and rework on complex assemblies when required

  • Verify product quality and compliance with engineering and process specifications

  • Utilize shop mathematics and precision measuring instruments to ensure accuracy

  • Prepare tools, assemblies, and components using approved solvents and cleaning procedures

  • Perform routine minor machine maintenance

  • Move products within manufacturing areas using designated equipment

  • Support production flow by assisting and training team members when needed

  • Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and Foreign Object Debris (FOD) prevention requirements

  • Maintain accurate documentation and follow all established manufacturing procedures

Required Qualifications

  • Minimum 2 years of aviation production experience or equivalent manufacturing experience

  • Previous experience with composite lay-ups, assembly, pre-fitting, and bonding of metal, composite, or laminate structures

  • High School Diploma, GED, or WorkKeys Assessment completion

  • Knowledge of workplace safety standards, OSHA requirements, and quality procedures

  • Ability to use a variety of hand tools and precision measuring instruments

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills in English

  • Ability to interpret technical documents, drawings, and specifications

  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work

  • Ability and willingness to work any shift and overtime as required

  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and work effectively as part of a team

  • Ability to successfully complete company-provided training in:

    • Health & Safety

    • General Aircraft Familiarization

    • Quality Training

Preferred Qualifications

  • 5+ years of aviation production experience

  • Vocational training or specialized education in composite lay-up and fabrication

  • Experience performing advanced composite repairs and rework

  • Proficiency with SAP, Excel, and other manufacturing systems

  • Experience working with autoclaves, composite curing processes, and aerospace manufacturing equipment

  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities

  • Experience mentoring or training other production team members

Pay Details: $34.48 to $36.23 per hour
