If you have extensive aircraft structures experience, a background in fuselage integration, multilayer layup programs, this is an exceptional opportunity to put your expertise to work on a high-impact aerospace project.



Location: Wichita, KS

Job Type: Full-Time Consultant (4-Month Assignment)

Pay Rate: $55.00 - $58.00 per hour

Schedule: Monday-Friday

Shift Flexibility Required: Must be able to work any assigned shift, including overtime and weekends as needed

What You'll Do



In this role, you will:




  • Assemble, install, seal, rig, inspect, and complete aircraft structural and system components
  • Interpret and work from engineering drawings, specifications, work instructions, and technical documentation
  • Perform functional testing to verify fit, form, and function of assemblies and components
  • Utilize precision measuring tools, test equipment, and shop mathematics to complete assignments accurately
  • Assemble components into subassemblies and final installations using specialized tooling and equipment
  • Verify completed work meets engineering, process, and quality requirements
  • Identify, document, and communicate discrepancies according to established procedures
  • Maintain tooling and ensure equipment certification requirements are met
  • Perform routine preventive maintenance on assigned machinery and equipment
  • Move products and assemblies throughout the manufacturing process using approved equipment
  • Support production schedules while maintaining quality and safety standards
  • Assist with employee training and mentor team members across multiple classification levels
  • Cross-train in inspection activities and work toward SIA qualification
  • Operate conventional and/or CNC fastening equipment
  • Support specialty assembly operations, including:

    • Assembly and installation of aircraft structures
    • Sealing operations
    • Subassembly build-up
    • Aircraft door installation
    • Integral fuel cell sealing
    • Precision bench assembly
    • Pressure and vacuum testing




Required Qualifications




  • 10+ years of aircraft assembly or aerospace manufacturing experience (11+ years preferred)
  • Hands-on experience with Fuselage Integration
  • Experience with Multilayer Layup
  • 737 program experience required
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, specifications, and work instructions
  • Experience using precision measuring instruments and testing equipment
  • Strong understanding of aircraft structures, assemblies, and installation techniques
  • Ability to work any assigned shift
  • Willingness to work overtime and weekends when required
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship
  • Ability to work independently and within a collaborative production environment


Preferred Qualifications




  • Extensive experience in aircraft structural assembly and installation
  • Previous experience operating CNC fastening equipment
  • SIA qualification or inspection-related experience
  • Experience training, mentoring, or supporting less experienced team members
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities
  • Proven success working in high-volume aerospace manufacturing environments

Pay Details: $55.00 to $58.00 per hour
