Position Details




  • Job Title: Aircraft Painter
  • Location: San Antonio, TX
  • Job Type: Full-Time Consultant (6-Month Assignment)
  • Schedule: Monday-Friday | 2nd Shift | 2:30 PM - 10:00 PM
  • Pay Rate: $38.88/hour ($33.79/hour + $5.09 Health & Welfare)

What You'll Do



As an Aircraft Painter, your day-to-day responsibilities will include:




  • Preparing aircraft and aircraft components for painting and coating applications
  • Mixing paints, primers, epoxies, lacquers, resins, and other coating materials according to specifications
  • Applying coatings using spray guns, brushes, rollers, and other specialized equipment
  • Removing old paint and coatings using approved stripping methods and tools
  • Sanding, smoothing, taping, masking, and surface preparation to ensure proper adhesion
  • Reading and interpreting engineering drawings, specifications, and Digital Product System (DPS) requirements
  • Painting insignias, markings, lettering, and other aircraft identification features
  • Working safely with hazardous chemicals and materials
  • Collaborating closely with team members to support production schedules and quality objectives
  • Following all safety, environmental, and quality procedures
  • Performing work at elevated heights while utilizing fall protection equipment when required


This position requires 100% onsite work in San Antonio, TX.





Required Qualifications




  • 5+ years of Aircraft Painter experience performing duties similar to those described
  • 5+ years of hands-on experience with:

    • Sanding and surface preparation
    • Taping and masking
    • Mixing paint and coating materials
    • Paint application techniques


  • Ability to read, write, and comprehend English
  • Ability to interpret technical specifications and engineering drawings
  • Ability to obtain Fall Protection Certification
  • Ability to work safely with paints, solvents, coatings, and other hazardous materials
  • Strong teamwork, communication, and accountability skills
  • Reliable attendance and commitment to meeting production requirements


Physical Requirements




  • Ability to climb ladders and work at heights using fall protection equipment
  • Ability to work in confined spaces
  • Ability to lift up to 35 pounds independently and participate in team lifts exceeding 50 pounds when required
  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, squat, crawl, and reach overhead for extended periods
  • Ability to pass visual acuity and color perception testing
  • Ability to work in environments with elevated noise levels and exposure to industrial materials while using required PPE




Preferred Qualifications




  • Experience working on military and commercial aircraft platforms
  • 5+ years of experience handling hazardous chemicals in an aerospace or manufacturing environment
  • Experience working at heights and utilizing fall protection equipment
  • Ability to complete and maintain Fall Protection training certifications
  • Willingness and ability to work rotating shifts as business needs require
  • Experience supporting aircraft maintenance, modification, or manufacturing programs

Pay Details: $38.88 per hour
