Qualifying Questions:

Summary:
Evaluates designs for manufacturability improvements and implements changes to enhance product capability.
Develops robust manufacturing processes that drive product and business goals.
Tests products and pulls data for analysis, then publishes results and conclusions.
Performs failure analysis using formal processes and communicates results.
Creates and maintains technical documentation for manufacturing processes.
Uses statistical process control and data analysis tools including MiniTab, Access, and MS Office Suite.
Applies Six Sigma methodologies and tools for process improvement.
Conducts process development and process improvement for prototype and product builds.
Performs root cause analysis and corrective action for manufacturing issues.
Trains factory personnel as part of transition activities for new processes.
Requirements:
Must be a U.S. Person (as defined by ITAR).
Degree in Engineering (Materials Science, Physics, Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or Mechanical Engineering).
Must be a U.S. Citizen due to program security requirements.
Must have the ability to obtain a Secret clearance.
1.5 years of professional experience in manufacturing engineering or related field.
Experience evaluating designs for manufacturability improvements and implementing changes.
Experience with data analysis using MiniTab, Access, and MS Office Suite.
Experience performing failure analysis and root cause analysis using formal processes.
Experience developing and documenting manufacturing processes.
Preferred: Experience with inertial instruments and Six Sigma certification.
