As a Design and Analysis Engineer, you'll join the Instrumentation and Data Systems (I&DS) team, supporting the Test & Evaluation organization. In this highly visible role, you'll help develop and enhance advanced data acquisition and processing systems used in laboratory and testing facilities.
Your work will support the collection, analysis, visualization, and delivery of critical test data from wind tunnels, test stands, and other advanced testing environments. The solutions you build will enable engineers to make data-driven decisions that improve aircraft performance, safety, and reliability.

Design, architect, develop, and support real-time data management systems for high-volume sensor and time-series data.
Build software solutions that support data storage, streaming, processing, and visualization.
Develop applications across multiple deployment environments, including:
Command-line tools
Native Windows applications
Web-based platforms
Interface directly with instrumentation and data acquisition hardware, including transducers and DAQ devices.
Create systems that efficiently collect, process, and manage critical engineering test data.
Develop intuitive visualization tools that help users analyze and interpret complex datasets.
Design and implement scalable APIs and streaming pipelines.
Participate in architecture decisions that guide product direction and long-term strategy.
Conduct code reviews and provide technical leadership within an agile engineering environment.
Maintain deployment pipelines, CI/CD processes, databases, system observability, and infrastructure.
Partner directly with customers, stakeholders, and engineering teams to transform requirements into technical solutions.
Help define product roadmaps, priorities, and future enhancements.
Support projects from prototype development through production deployment.
Bachelor's Degree in:
Engineering (Electrical, Mechanical, Aeronautical, or related discipline)
Computer Science
Data Science
Mathematics
Physics
Chemistry
2+ years of experience working with Real-Time Operating Systems (RTOS).
2+ years of experience developing C/C++ software for real-time embedded systems.
2+ years of application development experience.
Experience with experimental data acquisition, instrumentation, and data analysis.
Strong understanding of engineering principles and software development methodologies.
Bachelor's degree with typically 5+ years of relevant engineering experience, OR
Master's degree with typically 3+ years of relevant experience, OR
PhD with related engineering experience.
7+ years of related engineering or software development experience.
Strong proficiency in:
C/C++
C#
.NET Framework
Experience developing native Windows applications using:
C#/.NET
C++/Qt
Experience with relational databases such as:
PostgreSQL
MySQL
SQLite
Proficiency with:
Git
GitLab
Docker
Experience with Python, JavaScript/TypeScript, MATLAB, or similar languages.
Familiarity with data acquisition systems, transducers, IoT devices, control systems, and DAQ hardware.
Experience developing in both Windows and Linux environments.
Knowledge of:
Unit testing
Test-driven development (TDD)
Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD)
Experience with:
GitLab CI
GitHub Actions
CircleCI
Familiarity with time-series file formats such as HDF5 and TDMS.
Experience building native data visualization solutions.
